Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

4. Colorado Rockies (I don't see their pitching doing that well again)
5. San Francisco Giants

NL Wildcard- Philadelphia Phillies
NL Cy Young- Still going with Peavy, even though Santana is in NL now
NL MVP- Prince Fielder, Hate to say it, but he will have monster year.

NL Champion- Mets over Cubs in 6

AL East
1. Boston Red Sox (2)
2. NY Yankees (4)

Good rundown tim. About the only thing I would change would be the Dodgers taking the NL West.

I had also predicted Detroit to take it all, especially now that Willis and Cabrera will be in an environment that actually cares.

Verlander is going to be downright scary.

I can definitely see the Dodgers winning the west. 4 out of the 5 teams in that division could win the west, it is that good. I just think the Padres are going to be pissed after all the bad luck they had at the end of last season.

I wouldn't overlook the brewers. They made a good run of it last year. They have some interesting things going on. They traded Cordero and moved Braun from 3rd base to outfield. I was disappointed about Cordero, but all in all they still have a good looking pitching rotation, and Turnbow can probably handle the closing.

They signed Gagne to close. Any team except the Pirates could eventually win that division. If I had to pick a predicted order of finish, it would be....

1. Cubs
2. Brewers
3. Reds
4. Cardinals
5. Astros
6. Pirates

I have never ever seen anyone predict a entire baseball season correctly it is just too long anything can happen with trades, injuries and etc.

Did anyone think the Cardinals would win in 2006 when they got swept by every team in the AL central except the twins in regular season play? Don't think so, things happen its all about survival during the season to make the playoffs and then being hot going into the playoffs. Why do you think the Marlins have won 3 world series in 10 years...?

Wouldn't the Cubs play the Mets in the first round in that scenario?

I put the best records beside the division winners and wild cards. like NY Mets (1), Cubs (3). I think the Mets would play the team with the 4th best record which I predicted would be the Phillies. If I am wrong, someone please correct me.

Mets and Phillies can't play in the first round because they are from the same division, so the Mets would then play the 3 seed Cubs in the NLDS.

You can not play a team from your own division in the first round of the playoffs. So in this scenario, the Mets would play the Cubs and the Padres would play the Phillies.
