Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Checked out a few today to see what people were talking about for tonight's game. No one was saying anything. They have a great coach who almost got them a championship last year and no one cares. WOW

He had three NBAers last year, while this year his 5 and 4 stars aren't doing anything. Not sure if it's coaching, maturity of the players, or what.

We'll see if he can out-coach Dakich tonight.

Matta hasn't impressed me with his X's & O's.... the man can recruit like crazy but otherwise lastyear his talent took him to the ship.

Yeah, I don't see anything in their offense, they are always taking bad shots and Matta doesn't seem to do anything to change it.

I thought OSU fans would be a little more excited about their team. They have ben playin well of late and may have played themself out of the tourney but they still have big games coming up against us, PU, and MSU I think. They could play their way back in. I think Matta is a better X and O guy than people give him crdeit for. He's had success with lesser talent.

I don't see them beating us tonight, but I don't want to overlook anything either.

For me, this is another test for Dakich. I want to see if he has the balls to motivate these guys.

To be honest, I'm leary about him.

They're actually a pretty bad slide right now, and still have to play each of the top 3 B10 teams once. They're in deep trouble and OSU fans are showing their true colors when it comes to baskteball.

lol his most successful year was lead by #1 NBA pick Greg Oden, and another top 15 pick in Conley.

The mans got 12 year olds DYING to play on tOSU. Somethings fucked up with that... I didn't grow up wishing to play at Ohio State.

There's no reason for them to be on the bubble this season if he's a great coach IMHO

He didn't have the best talent at Butler and Xavier and he did all right. He's a great recruiter but the man can coach as well.

I think the real question is if IU will be focused. I think they were very lucky that it Northwestern they played after the Sampson ordeal. If it had been any other team, that probably would have been a loss. I would guess that they are better off today than they were Sat, but I doubt they've regained all of their focus just yet.

People fail to realize the good he did for that OSU team last year. They didn't just roll the ball out there and just let them play. Oden and Conley were really good, but they weren't THAT much better than everybody else to where they didn't need a good coach. He fit a lot of different parts into that team to make them who they were. This year he just doesn't have a lot of parts that fit like last year. Losing 5 of your top 6 will cripple any team for a year. I doubt any of these guys are going anywhere, plus they add a pretty darn good class this season so they will be deep and talented.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

There are two seasons at Ohio State. Football season and football offseason. They could really care less, they care more about Terrell Pryor than their basketball team right now. Plus, spring practice is right around the corner.
