Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

wow, what a fuckin game...FUCK-ING-WOW!!!

...good for little ole vandy.

Kevin Stallings for coach at IU!!!!!

I'm going to be all over this like you are all over Pearl, enemy. Hahaha, I love it.

Let's not forget that Painter wanted to play at IU desparately.

In an alternate universe, he would have gotten a scholarship to IU and Woody Austin would be coaching the Boilers now.

wow that is really "trippy" even to think about...

I do wonder about this...UT should NOT have lost to Kentucky shortly after we stomped them; and they should NOT have lost to Vandy this evening. Imagine the heat some people on this board would apply to an IU coach if we lost these types of games (or, look at the heat that people DID apply to Sampson after we lost to Wisky twice).

Actually, Leary would have went to Purdue. Leary would be the annoying homerish color man for Purdue basketball while Painter was the head coach at IU. And I'd be ashamed of my University for having a relationship to Leary and having him like my school.

I think for a lot of people's sake that Stallings should stay away from IU. It'd be weird and insane. I would enjoy holding it over IU fans' heads for awhile, but it'd be too much I think.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

i have to say that you have a good point...

...and to an extent you've somewhat proved the point that i've been trying to make on this board for quite some time now...IU IS A BETTER JOB AND PROGRAM THAN UT!!!...

...ut fans just don't care right now...you know what they'll be saying tomorrow shit is talked to them..."oh well what was your record in football?", "oh well, i don't really care about basketball."

...i'll say it again...BRUCE PEARL WILL WASTE HIS CAREER AT UT!!!...they are so freakin fairweather it is ridiculous! :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

No, what I'm saying is...that for all the Pearl Kool-Aid that people have been chugging here of late, we need to be honest with ourselves. We're not holding him to the same standards that we are Dakich, or Sampson, or really any other coach whose name has been mentioned throughout this process.

Don't get me wrong. I still think he would be a great hire here, although I think it's unreasonable that he would leave UT, a program he has essentially created from the ground up, for all the mayhem in Bloomington.

It is tiring, though, when you read everybody blowing their tops if IU is upset by a mid-tier team, but nobody says a peep when UT gets handled by a very poor UK team that IU mopped the floor with a few days prior. Either we need to recognize that good teams get upset, or that Pearl's team has underperformed at times. Right now, very few people are willing to acknowledge either point.

...ut also came within a millisecond of getting beat by LSU...LSU!!!

the big difference between their losses and ours are that two of ours were at home (uconn and wisky) and all of theirs were on the road, at very tough places to play i should add, (texas, uk and vandy). tenn still has not lost at home.

...but i without a doubt agree that our coaches are held to a higher standard than the coaches at ut...no doubt about that.

I don't think its the losses, its just the way the team played even in their wins early in the season. Things have gotten better for the Hoosiers, but they played uninspired and lazy basketball earlier in the season. They won, but if things didn't change, it was going to go downhill. In an odd twist, the Sampson debacle may have saved the season and lit a fire these kids' asses. Thats just one man's take on it.
