Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

I like college bball better, but I'm a pretty big fan of NBA. I love the Blazers, and they are doing better than I thought they would this year, even though we have been struggling lately. Next year though, watch out. Who are your favorite teams?

I gave up on the NBA a long time ago, call me when they start playing defense, stop giving crappy continuation, allowing extra steps and carrying, and reward players for hard work not laziness and only the ability to score.

I absolutely hate the NBA. No one plays defense, players throw the biggest fits and care about no one but themselves, no one plays hard or with any passion, players get away with flagrant and hard fouls, they never get called for travels. When MJ left the Bulls, that's when the NBA begin to suck ass

I feel pretty much the same way these guys do. About as close as I get to the NBA now is watching the draft in June.

all this is understandable, college is much better. I've just always loved the Blazers and they have a young exciting group that should be pretty damn good in the upcoming years.

I pay attention to my fantasy basketball team. I root for the Pacers, but can't stand to watch them play anymore. I'll watch a game here or there, they still are the best players in the world and its night and day of how good they are compared to college players, but there is just no emotion or energy. And I pay attention to see how Landry is doing, which is pretty darn well recently.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

I like the Suns but am started to get a little sick of them. I started liking them because of the exciting pace they brought to the game but with the obvious addition of Shaq, they are just getting slower and worse shooters.

all this is understandable, college is much better. I've just always loved the Blazers and they have a young exciting group that should be pretty damn good in the upcoming years.

i like how the blazers have turned it around and am curious to see how much better they'll be when oden finally plays.

...guys like dwight howard give me hope for the future of the nba though.

Most of the young guys are very good guys off the court which is a pleasant surprise. Wade, Howard, LeBron, and others. The more likable that they are, the easier it is to watch because players making that much money should at least be nice guys.

...i've done my best to root for the celtics and pacers but have just always found it hard to root for teams consistently...the nba is the only sport that i've pretty much just always found myself rooting for certain players and the team that they just happen to be on at that time.

Yeah, I'll tell you some guys that I just don't like because of they are either thugs, hot heads, or law breakers: Ron Artest, Stephen Jackson, Rasheed Wallace, Zach Randolph, Allen Iverson, Baron Davis, Stephon Marbury, and some others I can't think off the top of my head.

Most definitely. Thats part of what the NBA wants though, they market their players and do a very good job of it. The style of play and the nature of the league creates for the players to be bigger than the league at times. Probably why there is a lack of team work and the few teams that play together the best (Spurs and Pistons) are the most consistently good teams.

I'd rather gouge my eyes out than watch the Pacers play, especially when Tinsley is on the floor.

And cvreech, most of those players I can't stand either and turned me away from following the NBA as much as I used to. I'd actually say I can't stand all of the players on that list with the exception of Iverson. He is as gangsta as they come and when he was younger was everything that was wrong with the game, but I could watch him compete and play ball for hours. He may be the toughest little shit in all of sports. But I can definitely see where people don't like him for the way he has acted in the past and the way he still does at times.
