Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

I like college bball better, but I'm a pretty big fan of NBA. I love the Blazers, and they are doing better than I thought they would this year, even though we have been struggling lately. Next year though, watch out. Who are your favorite teams?

this year i became a blazer bandwagoner given i was a sonics fan. a friend of mine actually just started a board like this for the espn blazer regs. it hasn't really jumped into full gear yet, but it's set up in a good way.

br

How in the hell can you be a Blazer fan after being a Sonic fan? lol

well, i was sort of a sonics fan by default being from that area.. but to tell you the truth, after about the mid-90s, i developed a hatred for the nba. i think it's the worst professional league around. players have no passion, don't pay defense, and disregard the whole concept of basketball.

but given the way the sonics organization served up a huge "fuck you!" to a city i love, i can't help but look to the next closest option. I'm a Roy fan as well

br

Roy is a beast. I hope the city keeps the Sonics in town long enough for one of the Softies to step up to the plate and buy the team. It's good to keep more of that Windows monopoly money close to home.

last week all of the local sports shows reported it's official that the team is leaving after the season. Say hello to your Oklahoma City Sonics!

i don't even want them to stay anymore. howie lincoln is enemy number 1 to Seattle. I'm sure glad we made him rich to begin with :puke:

br

Well, I won't cry too much if they leave. I prefer college hoops by far...

same here. the nba is a farce. a total disgrace to the game played by the likes of bird, jordan, thomas, johnson, etc..

About the only respect I have left for the NBA is due to the incredible amount of skill and athleticism the players have. I never cease to be amazed that guys that are 6'8 and above (LeBron especially) can move so gracefully and get to the rim the way they do.

Anyway, my interest in the NBA has declined sharply over the years. I have always been a die hard Pacer fan and was even around for the days when the Pacers terrorized the ABA, but those days are long dead, we have no Reggie to wow us, and Larry Bird is probably the second-biggest idiot behind Isiah Thomas as far as running a team. Im sick and tired of watching Bird every single year trade away medium to high value players for other teams garbage and exhorbitant salaries, and is it just me, or have we only had one fucking draft pick that has been worth a damn in the last 6 or so years (Danny Granger)? Bird promises changes every year, but we just get worse instead. My next goal is a "FIRE LARRY BIRD" campaign. Whos with me?

Anyway, I love NBA playoffs at least, but I quit watching the regular season.

We didn't even have a draft pick last year. We traded it for Al fucking Harrington, then turned around and traded him for Troy Murphy and others. If we could have got Mike Miller, we would have had the possibility of an all white starting lineup. I'm convinced that Larry Bird is on a crusade to prove to everyone that the white man can still play basketball. Otherwise, why is he trading for players that just aren't worth trading for? This years draft could make or break his future with the Indiana Pacers.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

"I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel
