Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

wow good job using facts or reason... I am totaly convinced IU is better than Illinois now... wait just found the law that says you can not buy alcohol on Sundays, and you have to be 21 to get into a bar in Indiana...

Beer on Sundays
19 and in a bar

Illinois > IU

Actually there is no law for age at a regular bar anyone can be there, they just cant consume alcohol.
And wait a minute, you used to go to Purdue right
Last time i checked thats in Indiana

After 9pm you are not allowed in a bar in Indiana if you are under 21, they go around and card at a lot of campus bars, and you have to show ID to get in the door. This varies by county obviously, you can be in BW3's after 9pm because it is a bar and grill, you can not sit at the bar, or be in a designated bar patron area.

In Illinois they go around and card people at 10pm, and you have to either have a wristband or show ID to purchase alcohol. Also 19 year old kids are not High Schoolers in my experience here they are naive sophomores or freshmen hotties. God I love UoI bars its almost to easy to get laid here.

Who wants fucking wine? That is for bitches who can't drink beer or are to pussy to drink some hard alcohol.

Apparently you've never had any good fortified wine. On Sundays, it'll definitely due when I can't buy my favorite brew.

Wine is good when its cheap. I prefer a nice beer, but I don't think its a pussy drink. I've never understood why if you are a guy you have to drink beer and if you are a girl you have to drink hard liquor. Never made sense to me, but whatever. I say drink whatever tastes good, and there are a lot of wines that taste very good.

We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

My old roommate used to buy these big jugs of wine. I think they were around 2.5 gallons of wine for like $8... dirty, dirty wine. I'd drink it to get drunk, but it definitely wouldn't be something I'd sip on.

People that don't drink wine don't seem to realize how much alcohol they can contain. A Budweiser only has 5% while my favorite fortified wine has 28%... so you have fun drinking almost 6 beers to my 1 glass of wine.

That would be the infamous carlo rossi its a huge jug for $7.50, some nasty stuff my old roommate threw up a bunch of it all over his clean pressed laundry. Needless to say back to the cleaners with red stained suits.

That would be it. I've been lucky enough to never see anyone puke it up.

Ah, you beat me to the punch. Carlo is not a friend of mine, as I've seen him do many a friend dirty. I fucking hate wine in general. I guess drinking a glass with a meal isn't too bad (although I'd prefer beer), but drinking wine to get drunk is a terrible idea. When you wake up the next morning you feel like somebody has been pounding a brick against the side of your head all night. No thank you.

I'm 20 by the way, turning 21 on March 29th. I'm excited as hell, even though I'm not a big drinker. I just love the fact that I'll be able to go wherever the fuck I want now and not have to worry about the age limits. Also, I can't wait to buy a sixer after a long day at school and work and just relax. And on the occasion that I do decide to get drunk, I won't have to go through the hassle of relying on somebody else to get the booze.

Oh, and I'm from South Bend. I graduated from Clay High in '05 and now I'm at IUSB studying nothing in particular. Well, does studying women's bodies count? B)
