Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Does anyone have any updates on how hardy and porter did at the combine, their draft outlook, etc.? I see a lot of potential in those 2, and would love if the colts could grab one of them :D

Also, if anyone has heard anything about andrew means and whether he'll enter the mlb draft. He could be our number 1 guy next guy if he stayed, making us again extremely deep at wr.

Both ran well in the 40. I don't know about the rest. Porter ran 4.37 and Hardy ran in the 4.4s. You can find most of the rest on there though.

I know you don't care about Purdue, but they had 3 guys tear it up. Keller may have moved into the first round and Keglar dominated the LB drills even though he isn't a good football player.

All in all, I'm guessing Hardy, Porter, Keller, and Avril go on day one.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

Hardy was projected to either 29th to SF, or some analysts think that if the Pats can't secure Moss by the draft, they'll look at trading to move into position to get Hardy. (i'd hate that because the Pats suck). They have Porter going around 31-33 after the combine. (it was 43 before).

Yeah I saw a couple other places that Hardy ran a 4.47. Not sure why he's not shown on that link. Should have helped his draft stock and gave him a shot to go mid-late first round. I think Porter would have liked to run a little faster, but 4.37 isn't too shabby. I'm not too sure on where his stock is right now, but I'm guessing he'll be an early second rounder.

I would love for the Bears to pick up Hardy or Porter. Not because they necessarily need either of them, but just because I love seeing an IU guy make a play in the NFL. Doesn't happen very often, but it's cool when it does. Plus 2 IU guys playing for one team in the NFL (Ogunleye's already there) might be some sort of record.

I was looking at players in the NFL and, outside of Randle El, Trent Green, and Ogunleye, the only other player I had heard of was Jeremi Johnson, but I didn't know he went to IU. Kind of a strange story to why he transferred that I had never heard about...

As a collegiate player, Jeremi Johnson played his first three seasons at Indiana University, where he was named to the All-Big Ten Conference freshman team in 1999.) However, in 2002, Johnson suffered a hamstring injury in spring practice and, according to reports, Johnson believed it was just a minor injury and didn't believe an MRI test was necessary. Head coach Gerry DiNardo believed otherwise, and Johnson's scholarship was rescinded.

A subsequent application for entry into the supplemental NFL draft was unsuccessful because Johnson didn't meet its hardship requirements.

Jeremi Johnson transferred to Western Kentucky University for his senior season, where he was a key player on the Hilltoppers' NCAA Division 1-AA championship team. He was selected by the Cincinnati Bengals in the fourth round of the 2003 NFL draft."

Depending on exactly how tall he measured at, Porter has the chance to go in the first round. 4.37 is very fast for the combine. This is the fastest I can remember times as the combine has been historically slow compared to the times run at pro days. Porter has decent size, fluid hips (completely straight to say when talking about sports), and great ball skills (wow, this post is awful for me right now). Plus, I think he can return kicks and punts correct? That always helps. He should be late 1st, early 2nd.

I heard that Hardy "only" measured in at 6'5, as opposed to the 6'7 that he has been measured at during college. I don't think it'll make that much of a difference in his stock since he ran sub 4.5, but it still may do something, who knows.

courtney roby played for the titans for three years until they cut him after training camp last year...not sure who/if anybody picked him up.

Yeah I saw his name, but honestly I had never heard of him...NFL or college. I guess O-Lineman don't really get much name recognition.

anybody know (or even remember) what happened to levron williams. i always thought he'd be one of those guys who was buried as the third or fourth running back on somebody's roster and get his chance through other player's injuries (like a ryan grant this year). i think he was a senior during the 2001 season.
