Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Sorry UB, but we're too busy focusing on winning a BTC and BTTC, and making a deep March run.  We'll get back to you in April....

I know - you're all too busy to go to the home games.

There were like 100 to 200 empty seats in a 14,123 seat arena. For a 9 PM start with most alumns living in either Indianapolis or Chicago, not too bad.

Keep on stretching there UB. Someday your bitterness and obsession for all things Purdue may turn into something.

I would say there more than 100 to 200 seats open. We just have a problem filling up the opposite end of the student section.

LMFAO.

go to IU where they have 3000 shitty seats and they still fill them up. the Silo can't fill up there band box where the worst seat would be one of IU's better seats because it is so small?

keep em coming...

Attendance was 13,815 last night. That is a grand total of 308 empty seats for a Wednesday night game at 9 PM against Minnesota. Guarantee IU wouldn't have done better.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

We could play in a high school gym and as long as we have a team competing for the BTC I don't really know why it matters. IU gets more people to their games. That is because they have a better tradition and stronger alumni. Purdue will be back to where they were at and my guess would be next year. If both buildings are filled and rockin though I still think Mackey is the loudest.

I personally enjoy being a student and being guaranteed tickets if I want them......

I respect that IU has history.....but its pretty ridiculous that students have to fight for tickets.

Check out #8 funny IU is not in there

“Forty-year-old Mackey is one of the last of the old Big Ten arenas,” Feinstein says. “The team benches are actually situated below the court — the coaches have to jump up to give their players instructions.” The arena’s domed aluminum roof makes the crowd noise reverberate to mega-decibel level. “When the Boilermakers are on a run, you literally can’t hear the guy next to you talking.”

I can not recall when Coach K even played Purdue, I remember in 2003 we beat them by 10, that is the last I can recall. And that was not in Mackey....

I can hear Coach K talking to some friends after that interview.... "What was I supposed to say? We embarassed a once proud program on their home court. The least I could do was throw them a bone."
