We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful. The Cubs have all the cash and alot of talent...........but at least my lowly ass Cardinals make it to the series once in a while! For some reason, the Cubs can't even seem to buy a trophy..........why is that? New York perfected it, and now Boston is buying theirs............come on Cubbies, get your shit together! |

To win a championship, you need a deep farm system. Our "can't miss" prospects have tended to not work out for us, so we had to go into the FA market. The Yankees won with a lot of players from their farm system in the late 90s. The Cubs are on the right path with Z, Hill, Marmol, Wood, Soto, Pie, Theriot, and others. Plus, we used our system to trade for Ramirez and Lee. Cubs should pound the Cards this season, especially if Moulder and Carpenter don't start pitching soon. |

“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves." "I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel

HAHAHAAHA, how original. A "You haven't won in 100 years" joke. If it was all about my team winning, I sure as hell wouldn't be a Cubs fan. But that said, I'd root my ass off for them even if they were 0-161 going into the last game. Being a fan is more than just having your team have a few pieces of cloth hanging up somewhere. |

i know, i just like to poke fun... its the only thing i can resort to considering the pathetic-ness that my team is going to demonstrate this season. but 06 was amazing, its the first time my team has ever won a championship, and it was great because we were counted out, and we were the huge underdogs. Gotta love baseball! |

Hard to tell the joking and not joking. Its all good, I actually didn't mind the Cards winning, even though they are supposed to be the Cubs' big rival, I have always liked Pujols and got the chance to go on the old Busch Stadium field when I was younger. Way to many White Sox fans who all they want to do is make fun of the Cubs by saying "Hahahaha, you never win the World Series." It gets old because I'm well aware of it and really could care less. I just like the Cubs and enjoy rooting for them. Hell, I'm a Purdue fan, winning obviously doesn't matter right? |
