Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Z vs Sheets. Cloudy and cold in Chicago, a thick fog down on the field for the first pitch..

fuck it, I simply don't have all day for a nage impression, but you get the idea.

This ought to be a hell of a matchup today. Go Cubbies!

Heck of a dual so far. Fukudome came out firing, but Sheets has some nasty stuff.

The game is on WGN, and Len and Bob do a pretty good job. This defines pitcher's duel, we'll see what the bullpens can do.

I hope this is not a sign of things to come for Kerry.

Fukudome!!!!
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

The bats will come along eventually. Sucks to waste such a good outing by Z and Marmol, but its only one game. The Crew will definitely be up to the challenge, should be an exciting season.

I liked what I saw today for the most part. The bats will come along. Fukudome will be a hell of a player. If Z can stay consistant, he could be the Cy Young. I'm worried about our bullpen though. with the exception of Marmol, I'm not impressed with them. Hopefully Kerry will be ok and this was just a one time thing. Either way, I really think we will be right there at the end with the Brewcrew and the Reds. Go Cubbies!!!

fuck nage

He said Z COULD be the Cy Young. Santana is great, but if Z is on his game, he can make a run no doubt. Santana is the favorite, but its not a slam dunk by any means.

Go Brewers!!!
I was pretty upset with Yost for keeping in Gagne to face Fukudome after you could visibly see how uncomfortable he was up there, but all's well that ends well. Great opening game. Both Sheets and Zambrano pitched great games. Sheets had 2 hits 2 walks and 7 strike outs, and Zambrano had 3 hits 1 walk and 5 strike outs and that nice out at second.

Great pitching by both. I'd love to see Sheets get his health in order for a full season because he is a pretty darn good pitcher when healthy. I'm guessing the three game set up at Miller Park to end the season will be a great one with playoff implications!
