Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Go Brewers!!!
I was pretty upset with Yost for keeping in Gagne to face Fukudome after you could visibly see how uncomfortable he was up there, but all's well that ends well. Great opening game. Both Sheets and Zambrano pitched great games. Sheets had 2 hits 2 walks and 7 strike outs, and Zambrano had 3 hits 1 walk and 5 strike outs and that nice out at second.
B)

Is Gagne the full time closer or what's the deal ? From what I saw last year with the Red Sox, that guy is fading fast.

I doubt he'll be the full time closer for the year. He'll probably at least switch off with Turnbow. Riske finished up the game

Can't ask for anything more from the starting pitchers. The Cubs bullpen did bend enough to let the game get away, but when your 1 and 2 hitters are 0 fer (for 11 innings, too), you're not going to get a whole lot of wins. Fukudome looks to be the real deal, and really fundamentally sound. He did have a gaffe running the bases, but that was a tough play to read anyway. Solid game, looking forward to the rest of the season series with the Crew.

Sheets is a great pitcher and we've never done well against him. Throw in the weather and delays and I can understand the hitting woes.

Fukudome!!!!

Was listening to ESPN radio last night, and they had one of their scouting guys on, and he said that if Fukudome can hit 20-25 HR this year he thinks he will be a fringe MVP canidate. What do you Cubs fans think of that? I don't know much about the guy.
