It's all good. I was kind of drunk when I last posted in this thread, I think. |

Here is probably a short list of good talent the Reds have let leave. These weren't all farmed through the minors by Cincy, but all were people that we had in their early prime or mid prime and we let them go. I know there are probably no Hall of Famers on this list, but all solid players who contrinute or contributed to other teams, often in our own league and division. Kyle Lohse Josh Hamilton Felipe Lopez Austin Kearns Sean Casey Ryan Dempster Aaron Boone Juan Castro Jose Guillen Pokey Reese Michael Tucker Dmitri Young Alex Ochoa Hal Morris Mike Cameron Bret Boone Reggie Sanders Mariano Duncan Paul O'Neill Next year - see Adum Dunn |

I thought you were talking about strictly home grown talent. The only ones that were really of any consequence after leaving the Reds IMO are: Paul O'Neil, Bret Boone, and Reggie Sanders. Dmitri has had a couple of good years since leaving, nothing special. We traded Cameron for Griffey. Most of the other players were average players. Lopez and Kearns have been serviceable at best in Washington. The jury is still out on Hamilton/Volquez trade but all indications are that we got a pitcher with electric stuff for an oft injured 5 tool player. If Volquez materializes we got the better of the deal. Pitching is alot more difficult to come by. |

I think Pokey was very good, and I would have kept Lohse and Hamilton. Are you sure Cameron was traded for Griffey? I thought Griffey was a free agent pick up. |

I liked Pokey when he was with the Reds but did very little after he left. Griffey was traded to the Reds on Feb. 10, 2000 for Mike Cameron, Antonio Perez, Jake Meyer, and Brett Tomko. |
