| Welcome to Our Hoosier Board! Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions. Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful. Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine! Turn on WTHR News if you are in the Indy viewing area. They said there would be an interview with Tom Crean. Also they reported that Armon and Ellis want to return under 1 condition...that Dan Dakich doesn't have anything to do with the team. They want to play for IU, but "can't play for somebody like Dan Dakich." I wonder if that means they won't play even if he is DOBO, or just if he was assistant coach. I think it would make for some awkward moments in Assembly Hall if Dakich remained in any capacity and AB and JE returned, especially after those reports. Maybe if he stays as DOBO they can put the whole thing behind them. |

I'll do my best...I'll certainly be listening. I hope that wasn't just one of those phony news teasers people were discussing before... |

Ellis and Bassett looking to make administrative decisions some more. What a bunch of fucking pussies who think they are owed something by somebody. Those fucks don't deserve to play in the Big Ten. |

“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves." "I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel

If they are still making demands then they shouldn't be allowed to play. It'll be interesting to see what Crean does with them. |

Crean with the same ol' coach speak. Great tradition, excited to get here, going right to work, family excited, THIS IS INDIANA, its a destination job, blah blah blah. Nothing of substance. The guy who made the report about Ellis and Bassett on Sunday said basically "If Dakich is around in any form, those two want out." Sounds about right. |

Assistant Coach

He was asked why he was here in downtown Bloomington and said he just wanted to take in the beautiful scenery (jokingly). He then says he is really looking forward to coaching here and is excited. Said it was a tough time with decision and saying his goodbyes at Marquette, but after the press conference tomorrow, it's time to move on and build on the tradition here at IU He said he wanted the job because it's Indiana basketball. Said it's tradition and he understands what that's about. Said Coach Knight made it incredible job and it's one of the greatest destination jobs in the country. He then said that he wanted everyone to feel like they were a part of the tradition...alumni, former players, fans, etc. Pretty short interview, but before it they said that he was downtown and taking pictures with fans and people were singing him the fight song so he could start to learn the words. They also mentioned that his wife is Jim Harbaugh's sister, not that it matters. |

ellis and basset are a couple of hoodlums that should be kicked out of fucking school. go back to your hood or project or whatever dumpster you were born in if you arent gonna play for the Crimson n Cream. you both were given the opportunity of a lifetime. Especially Armon. Your on scholarship, buddy. We pay for you to struggle with that incredibly tough General Studies major...the least you could do is fuckin go to class, put down the roach clip, pick up a book, and play some basketball. let em be kicked off the team who cares. |

You're restarting a storied program with a good coach. Can't fuck that up by putting up with demands from players. Send a signal, right now, clear as a bell. Coach Crean is the only one making demands on this team. |

Hoosier Daddy?!

Like I said before about Bassett and Ellis...Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out!!! IU is ready to start over and bring back the clean profile, and that doesn't include a bunch of big shot gangsters giving the athletic office their demands. Bassett -> :asskick: <-IU Ellis -> :asskick: <-IU |
