  • OH GOD DAMMIT..TOM CREAN?!?!!? BULLSHIT!
Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

JUST KIDDING! LOL...I'm ecstatic with this hire. Since we overlooked him last time, I really thought we wouldnt bother with him this time around, so I never really thought about him. He was one of my top three choices two years ago when we were trying to replace Mike Davis.

This is an even better hire than Tony Bennett. Heres what we'll get with Crean:

1.) He's a program uniter...he keeps the players and their family involved, and is very active with the students.

2.) Squeaky clean record.

3.) Flamboyant...great sideline personality and entertaining with media.

4.) He coaches IU's traditional style of basketball...enormous ball pressure, a complex offense that involves ball screens, inside/outside action, freeing up shooters for jump shots, and my favorite of course, the fast break offense. No more standing around!!!!!!!

5.) Heathcote and Izzo proteges, doesnt get much better than that.

6.) Great Midwestern ties and great recruiter.

Finally, the treacherous fans reign of terror is over. I imagine some will try and get Crean fired ASAP, but we all need to unite and kick those oxford blue shirts with red ties out of Assembly Hall for good. We'll have a rough season next year, but in a few years, we'll be right back in the hunt to being Elite again.

Bravo to my fellow alumni for making a good CALL. No pun intended, Sampsonites.
This is definitely a Fallen Stamp Of Approval.

:wtf:

well when you have known what is best for IU basketball and what it has needed since it lost Knight like I do, yet nobody listened to you, its a fucking miracle when something good actually happens. ive had to suffer through one guy that couldnt win or handle the pressure and other guy that couldnt coach and was a cheater so its really nice to have someone that is a very good X''s and O'S guy and wins the right way. im not saying the guy is gonna win a championship next year, but he is a very good choice given our circumstances right now. he has just about everything we want. but he will require time. at least he deserves a chance, when sampson didnt.

The body knows what fighters don't: how to protect itself. A neck can only twist so far. Twist it just a hair more and the body says, "Hey, I'll take it from here because you obviously don't know what you're doing... Lie down now, rest, and we'll talk about this when you regain your senses." It's called the knockout mechanism.

Its because the Brewers won yesterday. It set the world in balance.

i dunno guys im kinda divided, not only is this just the first step, but...im kind of attatched to this name!!!! i would miss it.

i will have to think carefully. i know! nothing aids my decisions like a few frosty brews, and this hire definitely is a cause for celebration.

i shall alert you all this eve if the name stays or goes.
