| Welcome to Our Hoosier Board! Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions. Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful. Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine! I've not heard a word about Jeter moving. And looking at the farm, I'm not sure we have a SS ready to come and field, hit the way Jeter does. I honestly believe Jeter at 50% and putting Duncan/Betemit/Ensberg at 1B is a better option than calling one of the kids we have on the farm up. More like 2 years away than next year. That's just the way I see it. But who knows, the Steinbrenner's have said some pretty dumb things in the past. And those things normally are looked at by us as, WTF? But in their eyes it's a way to motivate the player. Not that he needs motivation. It's just, to them it probably feels like we haven't won a championship since 2000. God knows if we ever went that long, the things they would say and do.... Where you from by the way? |

Where you from by the way?[/QUOTE] ...first off, FUCKIN AWESOME SIG! ...i'm from evansville, in - home of don mattingly...i went to the same high school that mattingly went to, so i basically grew up knowing about one player and therefore one team...THE YANKEES! ...what about you, where are you from? ...i just realized that i put that they will "groom" the next shortstop and also that i put "next year"...what i actually heard was it might happen in the next couple of years and we both know that they are more likely to go and grab a hot young shortstop in free agency...although cashman does seem to be sticking to the farm system now that he's got more freedom since george stepped down... ...anyway who knows the validity of this, i just heard it and figured i'd share to get some opinions... ...good to have you around man... |

So you went to Memorial...Mattingly was the reason I became a Yankee fan too. I actually work/go to school in Eville and live just north of Princeton. Seem to be a few people on here from the Tri-State. We have the Moose on the hill tomorrow, here's hoping he still has some left in the tank and last year, well last year was last year. 1-0, 161 to go |

...yep, the evansville memorial tigers... ...yeah, moose seems extremely drained and i'll be surprised if he and chamberlain don't switch places in about June or so... ...and i just realized, last night, that espn the magazine also mentioned that the yankees are talking about moving jeter. they mentioned first base or the outfield...it was in the baseball preview issue... |
