Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Who gives a fuck how many games we win, and who we beat? As long as that team is out there fighting, playing tough defense, and putting in 100% effort with good solid citizens as players -- than i will be in the stands. And cheering louder than I did last year I might add...

Just to see stability, a good coach, and knowing your program is 100% clean and improving from game to game is going to be a breath of fresh air.

I think the Indiana fanbase realizes Crean is going to need a few years just to get us back to being able to compete in the Big 10.

yea.. i'm saying best case scenario we're pulling the #6 seed in the Big Ten next season; it should be an interesting season to say the least...

Crean will have us "competing" in the Big Ten next year. Might not win it, and that depends a lot on the status of our players, recruits, and who else he might bring with him. I think Wisky will drop next year, MSU will be about as good as they were this year, OSU will be improved, and Purdue (unfortunately) should be very good. Like I said above though, if we get the right players, we can definitely bang in the mix of teams.

The body knows what fighters don't: how to protect itself. A neck can only twist so far. Twist it just a hair more and the body says, "Hey, I'll take it from here because you obviously don't know what you're doing... Lie down now, rest, and we'll talk about this when you regain your senses." It's called the knockout mechanism.

New guy here. I was on the ESPN page when all of you were there. I'm tired of the bandwagon bloggers so I guess that leads me here...

I don't see why we can't be as good next year as we were this year. Yea, we won't have the talent (DJ and Gordon--still crossing my fingers for Gordon though) but we will have a much more stable team with a great coach who can actually run an offense and develop his players. I guess it all depends on the sanctions but I am pretty pumped right now.

At least one reason you won't be as good and his initials are DJ.

indhoosiers, nice to have you aboard. I agree with you, and as I said in the earlier posts, if Crean can make a big recruiting splash right away, we could definitely compete for the Big Ten title next year.

I don't think we will compete for the big ten title, and I don't care. We should be competitive, and if we make the tournament, then IU fans should be extremely optimistic about our future with Coach Crean. Man I just started dating this girl from work I like and this hire in the same day? Euphoria.

What kind of recruiting class are you thinking will be that big of a splash?

Just curious......you do know you lose two NBA first rounders and possibly two other starters and you got 3rd this year, right?

I'm not trying to flame, but don't kill Crean with unrealistic expectations this early in the game.

Purdue had four freshmen and they did fairly well if I remember correctly. Granted, these four are not your average recruiting class, but..

Purdue also had that class secured before the previous season even started. Crean already had a class set up for Marquette. none of which are nearly as good as the four Purdue got, if any of them follow him. He will have to start all over, with most of the prospects both good and mediocre are already committed in LOI. Who available do you think he has a snowballs chance in hell at?

keep in mind that Ebanks is a possible 1-and-done and might not want to deal with all the chaos in possibly his only college year.

Dude back off. This is a happy day for IU fans, something we haven't had for awhile, and quite frankly I mean to enjoy it and not worry about that stuff right now. Thanks for your concern though.........
