Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

it's hard to tell, but since matt painter even associates with bruce weber, that's negative 10 life points... so that means crean is the temporary winner.

IU's last trip to a championship game? 2002

UI last trip to a championship game? 2005?

Bruce Webber 5 years of coaching 2 conference titles 4 NCAA appearances (sweet sixteen and runner up.

Tom Crean associates with Kelvin Sampson. I'll take a Weber association over a Sampson association.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

What do you call the 2009 recruiting class then? Bill Self must of made those calls?

Looks solid to me...

Illini 2009 commit list

Go to basketball and 2009 and start drooling because IU's 2009 will look like butlers 2000.

iu's class of 2004 was also "unstoppable" -- and we all saw how that turned out.

bruce weber isn't a good coach. you can't deny that.

You do realize that Crean had two former OU assistants under Sampson on his staff last year? The Director of Basketball Operations was Sampson's top assistant and in charge of recruiting for years.

Not saying this makes Crean dirty, and the Izzo connections are great, but being connected to Weber is not even near as bad as being connected to Sampson, which Crean is very connected to.

a coachless team would do better than any of those 4.

Good coach, horrible recruiter. He was destined to be a top assistant in charge of strategy and drawing up plays. He will get some assistants that will take care of his recruiting and UI will be a pretty darn good team in the near future.

Keady is connected to Webber, Painter and Martin and I would take those 3 over anything you guys got, except Knight.

DC go check out the 2009 class looks a like Purdue's last year just backcourt players which they need badly.
