| Welcome to Our Hoosier Board! Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions. Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful. Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine! “He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves." "I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel

the NCAA is in a heap of shit right now, and everyone knows it. NCAAB is easily the most corrupt program in ALL of sports...WORLDWIDE. David Stern from the NBA is a greedy Jew, no question, and agents that hunt these kids down when their only 14 and 15 are part of the money grubbing conspiracy, also. its got to end somewhere. dont be suprised if within the next few years, either HS players will be allowed to jump straight to the NBA, or they will be required to be at least 21 to play in the NBA. the forces of Good will straighten it out. |

The NBA age limit is part of what is hurting college basketball IMO. The product on the court is better, but the under the table dealings are a result of kids having no intention of maintaining their amateurism past one season. Why wouldn't you take gobs of money if they won't find out what happened until after you were gone and you already played the games and got the publicity you needed to further your NBA career and help your draft status? If the kids want to go play, let them go play. Keep them out of the system that compromises the universities and the kids who are there to be true student-athletes. |

I stated that same thing the other day when it was posted that Kentucky offer this kid a scholarship. I think the NCAA should pass a rule stating that a school cannot contact and offer a player unitl after their sophomore year. They are too young to be thinking about this kind of crap. Let them enjoy their 8th, 9th, and 10th grades before they start making life changing decisions. |

FE, characterizing someone as a greedy Jew is really unneccessary for this board. Someone else also referred to the recent IU signee as a spear-chucking gazelle hunter. Could we not keep our bigoted, Indiana-hick roots out of this? Give me a break! FYI, I fall into neither demographic. Use all the profanity you want but give the racial shit a rest. |

couple things: 1. Jews, by and large, are greedy & cheap. I have non-blood relatives who are Jews and admit to such short comings. Why do you think NYC money centers and investment banks are usually headed by Jews. Jamie Dimon, Sandy Weil et al are considered "shrewd". Most however call em jewish bastards. 2. The IU signee is from Africa; gazelle hunting is considered noble and a necessity there. However in Bloomington Indiana, that skill is not really a prerequisite. Perhaps Creen will introduce visual imaging to him - say, imagining the ball is really an Antelope Jack Rabbit and have him pursue accordingly. http://www.protrails.com/images/tracks/antelope.jpg |

As a Jew I can tell you we are neither greedy nor cheap. Philanthropically Jews are some of the most giving people in the world. We are "cheap" because we hoard all our money and don't spend unnecessarily. And we are "greedy" because obviously we are all rich. Every Jewish community is filled with nice houses, nice cars, and nice schools in the area. The fact is that Jews give away a lot of their money, but they mainly only give to their own. Jews help Jews and Jewish communities. This upsets many people. The main problem is that there are so many rich people who DON'T give back. How many athletes and rap stars are there that don't work to improve the communities they came from? The other issue of course is HOW Jews give back. When many people give away their money they give it to their religious affiliations, like their Church. When Jews give back they give more often to their local schools and organizations which many times can have a greater effect on the community. The stereotype will always persist. As a local said to me when I was in Mexico, "Do the Jews own everything in America too?" :D But don't blame Jews for only helping themselves when there are litterally thousands of people who don't do shit for anyone BUT themselves. |
