Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

As a Jew I can tell you we are neither greedy nor cheap. Philanthropically Jews are some of the most giving people in the world.

We are "cheap" because we hoard all our money and don't spend unnecessarily. And we are "greedy" because obviously we are all rich. Every Jewish community is filled with nice houses, nice cars, and nice schools in the area.

The fact is that Jews give away a lot of their money, but they mainly only give to their own. Jews help Jews and Jewish communities. This upsets many people.

The main problem is that there are so many rich people who DON'T give back. How many athletes and rap stars are there that don't work to improve the communities they came from?

The other issue of course is HOW Jews give back. When many people give away their money they give it to their religious affiliations, like their Church. When Jews give back they give more often to their local schools and organizations which many times can have a greater effect on the community.

The stereotype will always persist. As a local said to me when I was in Mexico, "Do the Jews own everything in America too?"  :D  But don't blame Jews for only helping themselves when there are litterally thousands of people who don't do shit for anyone BUT themselves.

Don't get bent out of shape.

I was just referring to my jewish uncle who hoarded the Grey Goose in the freezer and instead served his guests Bellows......

http://www.internetwines.com/mb350183.html

No worries. I'm not upset. But as a Jew and a fundraiser I like to get the word out there that we could all do a little more for our fellow man.

Amen to that. I just put a Heating and air system in for a Jewish family with an estimate given and signed before starting.
The son of a bitch tried to re negotiate the price after we were done even though we gave him a final price before starting because" After thinking about it, he found the price to be unsettling."
Even though he signed the contract to proceed.....
Here is to his unsettling.. :fuckyou: :pissed:

the NCAA is in a heap of shit right now, and everyone knows it. NCAAB is easily the most corrupt program in ALL of sports...WORLDWIDE.

David Stern from the NBA is a greedy Jew, no question, and agents that hunt these kids down when their only 14 and 15 are part of the money grubbing conspiracy, also. its got to end somewhere.

dont be suprised if within the next few years, either HS players will be allowed to jump straight to the NBA, or they will be required to be at least 21 to play in the NBA. the forces of Good will straighten it out.

FE, characterizing someone as a greedy Jew is really unneccessary for this board. Someone else also referred to the recent IU signee as a spear-chucking gazelle hunter. Could we not keep our bigoted, Indiana-hick roots out of this? Give me a break! FYI, I fall into neither demographic. Use all the profanity you want but give the racial shit a rest.

This is the only time in which I enjoy UB's presence. I hope he comes back out of his hole for this one.

Is there something funny about someone requesting prejudice remarks be left out...if so, I'll just call you a dickhead. It may be mean, but it appears to be accurate.

You can call me a dickhead if you would like I suppose. You wouldn't be the first around here to call me such things.

I know that he is joking, and thought it was funny. Plus, I know how UB is and figured he would come with some sort of crazy story about killing gazelles. Sorry for finding humor in his remarks. I honestly laughed out loud when I read "Somebody is calling our recruits spear-chucking gazelle hunters."

But judge me how you may.

We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

When I saw a random poster complaining about somehow calling a recruit a spear-chucking gazelle hunter, I just about fell out of my seat. I don't know why it hit me so hard, but it was just freakin' hilarious.

I could care less either. I was more laughing at a poster complaining about UB. Its funny when the newbies don't know how he acts and asks him to not be offensive. Definitely nothing wrong with asking prejudice to be left out, it was just funny who they were addressing it to.

Plus the term spear-chucking gazelle hunter cracks me up so much, I may just add it in every post I make from now on.

Good stuff. The kid(s) should enjoy the pool in the summer, I had one next door growing up and lived over there. Maybe you can even get the old lady into a bikini or something
