God I hate George Lucas....
:banghead: The action scenes were great. The production is good. But after 20+ years, aliens was the best thing Lucas could come up with for an Indiana Jones flick? :puke: Disappointed with the effort put into the script... |

man, i agree The movie started out great but as it went on, It got pretty lame. The action scenes were great, like you said, I loved the whole ant bit where the commy gets devoured by them I liked; the bike chase, the opening fight, the nuclear testing sight, the Greaser fight, even the kid Shia wasn't too bad. but the awkward exposition, terrible pacing of the last half of the movie, combined with the lame ass aliens, and Indiana Jones not really doing anything in the finale, made this movie just good, but not great. I guess I had higher standards for the first Indiana Jones movie in about 2 decades. to quote the reviewer at filmdrunk.com "Even over the laughter and groans, you can almost hear George Lucas’ fat fists pounding the table at Chuck E. Cheese. The finale is his pizza party." |

I have yet to see one epsiode of Indiana Jones. Just not my taste, and I highly doubt if I see this one. Same with Pirates of The Caribbean. I understand they were extremely popular, and I've tried to watch the first one, just couldn't get through it. On a lighter note, I watched The Prestige last night and loved it. :D |

Jazen, go do yourself a favor and watch Raiders of the Lost Ark and just try to hate it. As for the Pirates movies? meh. I wouldn't ever compare Pirates to Indiana Jones. |

I hear ya tyler, and I have seen bits and pieces. Strange really, because I've played so many "adventure" type games and enjoyed them, just when transferred to film it doesn't seem to keep my interest. To this day, I've never seen a full episode of Star Wars either. About a half hour into the first one, and I found something else to do. I lean more toward non-fiction type movies (and books), and better yet, movies that are based off true events. True crime would probably be my favorite. I loved the Zodiac, and have read countless books on him, Bundy, Gacy, Dahmer, and so on. However, I'm a big Grisham fan and loved the Lord of The Rings Trilogy. I don't know, whatever hits me the right way at the right time, I guess. |

The Prestige is amazing. Any movie with Christian Bale and Scarlett Johansson has to be good. |

“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves." "I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel
