From another thread. Here are their starters for next season and season outlook: Starters: PG- 1981 Championship Banner SG- 1987 Championship Banner SF- 1940 Championship Banner PF- 1952 Championship Banner C- 1976 Championship Banner Bench: Tradition, "IT'S INDIANA!!!!!", fan support, Excellence, and "Doing things the right way and not cheating" 2009 Commits -2009 Championship Banner -2009 Undefeated Season -"Returned to Excellence" -"Hands Washed of Sampson" Its going to be a great year for Tom Crean and the Hoosiers. I expect tradition to be the top 6th man in the league. The '76 Banner will make it two years in a row of Big Ten player of the year. Tom Crean will win "Best Coach Ever" award. |

“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves." "I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel

 dc, I should have stuck up for you the other day on the IU board, but it appeared that they just needed to let off some steam, and you were their designated whipping boy. Glad to see you still have the right stuff. |

Its all good. I don't quite know what it was all about, but it was what it was. I'm not going to get back into it because it was pretty much pointless to start out with. They have their moral "victory" of "putting me in my place". |

I guess it's good practice for those guys to get good at moral victories. That's the only way they will keep their sanity the next couple of years... Oh, and the banners. We can't forget about the BANNERS. :chug: |

Way to sacrifice, DC. Hopefully you can continue to eat that "loss" as it will be all IU fans will have to claim as a victory for quite a while. We all acknowledge and appreciate you taking that hit for the team, way to go! |

Yeah, they aren't going to win many games the next few seasons. It will be interesting to see if they still enjoy those guys who "just want to wear that Indiana on the front of their chests" when they are getting beat night in and night out. Its tough being a fan when you know going into every game your team is probably going to lose (us Purdue fans know, the last year of Keady and first year of Painter were awful). Crean has his work cut out for him. He has done about as good of a job as you could ask for so far, but will that translate into the type of success that the fans expect? This talk of top half of the Big Ten and then contending within a few years, is just flat out ridiculous. The teams the next couple of years will be as bad or worse than some Northwestern teams of past years. |

What is flat out ridiculous about us contending in a few years? I expect in 3 years for us to have a pretty damn solid squad, what is so unreasonable about that? |

interesting comments in this turdue HOMER thread. just a few years ago turdue was 16-40 and now they are talking national titles. yeah, it's impossible to think Crean can have IU being very good in 2 years or so. Just terrible recruiting by him so far in less than 2 months on the job..... :loser: |

Just goes to show what a meteoric rise Purdue bball has seen, while IU's program has fallen faster than a depleted uranium balloon. If the two programs were reversed, most of the IU homers posting here would have voted "Never." This poll is just ANOTHER example of how Purdue fans are some of the smartest and most objective around. |

yeah - I'm sure after the 16-40 disasters, you all foresaw a 15-3 BT season in '08. Bottom line, Crean is a more proven, experienced coach than Porkchop and will own him in recruiting because IU usually outrecruits Turdue. :loser: |

yep 25-8 and 14-4 is not acceptable at IU but the similar record is cause for circle jerking at Turdue. again, shows the HUGE difference between the programs :owned: |

That team in year 3 will not be as good as you think, especially if Crawford isn't around. |

No, it shows how one team overachieved and how one team underachieved. If in a few years Purdue goes 25-8 and 14-4 and loses in the first round of the tournament, there will be people all around West Lafayette pissed off. |
