Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Honestly if I was him, with no real loyalties to the state I'd go to Tennessee. I can remember reading about Negedu early last summer and they called him "this years Duke Crews". That's trippy.

He'd start for 4 years and win early. Crean's up against it on this one. He beat Tubby for Verdell, and lost to Wright for Sutton, this would be a nice tie breaker. This takes a year off our curve and makes us above .500 by a few games for certain. Plus gives us a true building block to add to. Add Whatford to next years class and in 2010 we'll be a top 10-15 team.

Unless I am counting wrong, if Negedu came to IU we would be at 13 scholarships for the 2009-2010 season unless someone were to leave or decommit.

I know that's a bold statement but, he'll shoot his way into that first 5 and Creek will have to be pretty damn good to get him out.

Lol. Like the Angel Garcia references as well. I do remember saying that IU should avoid him. Three years and twenty games later, he leaves in the middle of the season to play in Spain. A quick look at his numbers and you'll see when he did play, he was Ben Allen.

So... my question, who is the "Matt Roth" in the next two classes, 2011 and 2012? or do you think all the players are going to play up to there potential?

How did Roth not play up to his potential?

Maybe he didn't live up to your expectations but he is what he is. On a balanced team he would be a great spot up shooter. I don't remember ever reading about his ability to get to the basket or his outstanding D.

Btown,

I am not trying to get a lame war going.

Outside of Mr Gray I don't get why IU fans would be mad at Roth or consider him a bust.

Was he a 5***** or a 4**** recruit?

He is a spot up kinda guy. He is similar to Ryne Smith. Put Roth on Purdue last year he would have done well.

i was completely kidding bg. i don't think Roth turned out to be good, but like you mentioned, a lot of that is because our team was so rotten.

He wrote a book and started a foundation for youth education.

He played in the NBDL or whatever they call it last year.
