Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

"Novint is currently taking advance reservations for a special Falcon Orange Box bundle, due later this year. The bundle will include the new Black Falcon, Pistol Grip, and a touch-enabled version of The Orange Box (a $248.98 value) for $189.99. "

Have any of you heard about the Novint Falcon? Would you consider spending this much on a joystick?

*How do you do videos now?

I haven't heard of it, but after watching this video, I'm not sure I'd want it even at a very reasonable price.

I play alot of FPS games and I'm pretty happy with simply using the mouse.

Any other gamers out there? I've always been a console gamer, so I'm curious to get some more people's opinions. They've recently agreed to deals with Valve, who accounts for 80% of the action PC game industry with games like Half-Life, and a few months ago they came to terms with EA, which means a lot of sports games like Madden and Tiger Wood's golf would be available.

The ability to switch-out attachments is the most impressive to me along with the ability to move in 3-D. You could swap out a pistol and instead of using the mouse to look around and arrow keys to move, you'd be able to just push the pistol forward to walk and swing it around to view. Another weird thing about it is that the feedback let's you pinpoint exactly where a shot came from, so you'd immediately know if someone was shooting you from behind. Also, they expect it to drop to under $100 if the volume of sales picks-up in the next year.
