Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

He'd have a gold medal too if the men hadn't dropped the baton in the relay race (he's not the one that dropped it). Oh well, congrats to him. He's a nice kid. His sister worked for me at IU and she was a track star in her own right but she broke her leg in a car accident which ended her career. I'm glad he won a medal and I'm sure he'll be in the next Olympics as well.

Apparently Purdue has a group of fellow Olympians themselves..

The 400 meter relay, or the 4x100 relay is the one that dropped the baton. If he makes the 4x400 team, they are almost a lock to win since they swept the 400.

He's a heck of a runner, he's a hometown kid too, so its nice to see him doing well. I believe he still has the state HS 400 record in 46.99, which is pretty dang fast for an 18 year old.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

Good call Cam! He is on the 4x400 team so he's still got a chance at gold. Yay!

OMG I just saw the race and David dove across the finish line in order to finish 3rd. It was pretty awesome. Definitely a must see.

Yeah I watched that last night. Pretty awesome. He would have definitely finished fourth without that dive.

I watched last night, and when he dove, wondered if it was good enough for 3rd. It's pretty amazing that he timed it so well, and got the bronze!

He sold out for the medal great to see. I think he hurt his knee on the dive so not sure if he will be on the relay. But a great performance.

That was amazing and funny. I hope he is in the relay so he could try for a gold medal.

If he runs the relay, he WILL win gold. No way our 4x4 team loses. The US is as dominant in this race as we are in basketball.
