Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Lars, I know that UB always says this, but answer truthfully...

Did you really say that Calasan would be better than D.J. White?

If yes, why???
If no, then why does he say it repeadetly?

Obatski, I'm always truthful except for the times when I'm obviously running some smack.

Calasan had a good game against Clemson on the road, and I expected him to continue improving, and said he could hold his own with White when they played head-to-head. Unfortunately for Purdue, he developed too much of a love for the three-point line and wasn't consistent on defense. That said, he did have a few other decent games, including one very good game against Pruitt. I'm curious to see how well he plays this season.

"hold his own"

perhaps hold his own cock and that was it.

What an insult and complete HOMER to compare the 2. White was the BT POY and AA. Calasian was some euro nose picker.

You should know better than compare a new player after one good game to someone who had established himself. However, I know that's where the Purdue fan comes out of you, and I can respect that!

He made that prediction before DJ White became the DJ White that he was his senior year, which I'm sure most of you know was much better than his first three seasons. I honestly didn't think DJ would be what he was last year, the best player in the league without a question.

I figured DJ would be good, but never as good as he was last year. It sure was fun watching him play.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

Exactly. White showed some good play in the '07 tourney, but I wasn't convinced he was ever going to live up to his potential. I'm glad he did.

Well, being the best player ifor the US n the Pan-Am games (I think that was the tourney) should have been a pretty good indication. However, I kind of see where you're coming from. Still not great logic though to think after one decent game he would be anywhere D.J.'s stature.

its only a few days before the nag gives an in depth game by game prediction of this year's schedule now that he has it. It is will more than likely have every stat for each player as well. 1zxgnc

We don't need him on this board. It is already too crowded with Purdue fans. This is an IU board, right?
Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing this board eventually becoming a Big Ten board with fans from all teams.
I'd be all for that to be honest.

This place would be total anarchy.

I realize the old PU buddies wear out their welcome at times, but do you really think we want to put up with tOSU scumbag assholes, Michigan football nuts, shit talking Illini fans (though they're quite easy to pwn in a matter of seconds)?

Rethink the outcome of it haha. Unless Jaz and Bri start wearing badges....... :D
