Ummmm, does that link say something about him transferring to OSU? Otherwise, your claims of him winning a Heisman trophy at OSU is pure fantasy, and will never happen. |

“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves." "I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel

I don't get how a link to him winning Big Ten offensive player of the week against WKU would prove that he'd win a Heisman Trophy at OSU. Fact: Lewis will never play at OSU Fact: Lewis will never win a Heisman at OSU Fact: Lewis is a very good QB Fantasy: Lewis would a Heisman at OSU |

I'm definitely no homer fan and am in no way saying anything close to that about Lewis, nor do I expect any Purdue fan to say that. What I am saying is it seems to me, and maybe I'm wrong, that Purdue fans cannot bring themselves to admit Lewis is a pretty good quarterback. |

I've said it in three separate posts in this thread actually. Lewis is a very good quarterback, one of the best in the conference. |

Then I retract my statement, my bad. I usually stay out of the petty bickering, I thought I'd jump in for a change. Clearly I'm bad at it. What can I say: I'm a lover not a fighter. |

No problem, there really wasn't any Lewis bashing here. One person, a Purdue poster, claimed Lewis has struggled against the top tier Big Ten teams, which I honestly don't know, but could be true. I'd have to look at the stats to find out if that was true. That isn't a statement about Lewis being bad, pretty much everyone struggles against the OSUs and UMs of the world. |

moron - lewis struggles against the good teams because his O-line is horrendous. he has absolutely no time. Peyton manning would struggle against anyone if he had IU's horrid line 'protecting' him seriously - do you know ANYTHING about sports? you're one dumb kid. |

So can Painter use that as his excuse for why he chokes against good teams and all the other QB's that perform poor against top competition. I am not saying IU's line is good or that Lewis should get all the blame for not performing well against those teams but you of all people are one to just throw around excuses. |

Sure our offensive lines aren't great, but let's face it, it's not like either of our defenses have been sparkling either. It takes both sides to win tough football games. Kellen has performed well and won some big games, but like anyone else who plays a sport I'm sure he will look to improve this season and beyond. |

I am not trying to say anything bad about IU football. I am just trying to get on UB for making stupid excuses that he would rag on other people for making. |
