| Welcome to Our Hoosier Board! Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions. Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful. Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine! Cam, obviously we just have extremely different views of a what a big game is. As a Giants fan, I know that one of the biggest games of the season was in week 3 against the Redskins when we stopped them on 4th and goal with no time left on the clock. That game completely turned our season around (especially the defense). Another HUGE game was the week 17 loss to the Patriots. Yeah, we lost, but it showed the team they could play and win with the best teams in the league. It totally feuled the playoff run. Sometimes a big game isn't about the result or who you played, it's about a change in attitude. It's believing you can win, believing in your teammates and coaches, and getting them to believe in you. Just my personal opinion, but that seems to be where we differ and why they are opinions, after all. |

Well, the Patriots and Redskins were both good teams. I was a person that thought it was a brilliant move to play the Patriots game as any other game because they needed the momentum. I just don't think eeking out games against bad teams is really something to write home about. Those are teams that you SHOULD beat and play well against. I don't think Lewis is a bad player against good teams, but the original statement did have some validity, he hasn't really come up big in what I'd consider a big game. But thats the beauty of sports, everyone can have their own opinion, and anybody can be right. I'm not saying you are wrong, just telling you what I think. I actually enjoy our back and forths because you actually know what you are talking about and back your opinions up with valid statements (for the most, lol). |

“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves." "I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel

Dudes, give it up. Kellen has endless potential from the stats he has so far. Fact: IU DOES has a shitty O-Line and he still manages to not only rush for 1,000 yards, but throw for well over. I don't like Painter, either of the 2... We shouldn't expect you to like Kellen. It's a part of a rivalry and loving a team... you can't ever LIKE somebody on the other team unless it's someone very respectable. (Carl Landry, for instance) Truth is, he still has another full season ahead, and IU football is JUST NOW starting to pick it up as a program and turn it around. He's a junior... just imagine what his numbers will be at this year. I'm sure you can't think of any PU QB that rushed for over 1,500 yards and threw for well over in THREE consecutive seasons, and Lewis damn well has that chance if he doesn't fuck it up himself. Stop hating, stop arguing. You're men for crying out loud (I do believe..?), except your differences and move on. |
