Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

It was a lecture at Woodburn Hall, and he was sitting in the front row. IMO that is a good sign. Hopefully CTC has gotten through to the players that academics are important.

If Matt Roth were playing for Sampscum, he would have been in the back row or not even show up for the first class. Keep us informed if he misses class. It will be very interesting to see how many he misses between now and the start of the basketball games in November.

I don't think I ever saw a basketball player sit anywhere near the front of class while I was at IU.

That is not cool. Hopefully TC will hold them accountable.

The teacher's have to first... and while I was at IU, I only took one class where the teacher was strict about coming in late.

I don't think coming in late is a big deal. Like previously said, hardly ever, if at all do teachers say anything. Not saying it's right or wrong, but that's just the way it is. At least they ARE showing up in the first place. Also, out of being curious, who were they?

broderick lewis, verdell jones, and an unidentified white player. i'm not sure if he's actually a player or just a friend of those two..

in their defense, they did look like they were lost, and it's in a lecture hall that's reasonably hard to find..

I understand that it may be hard to find, but why were they late the second day???

who knows -- and they walked behind the professor to get to their seats (in the middle of a lecture). typical freshman mistake..

They shouldn't be showing up late, but I can't remember ever having a professor call me out on being late to a class, and I've done so plenty of times.

I've had classes where if I was 5 to 10 minutes late, I may as well just turn around and go home.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

you must have been 5-10 minutes late for every class and turned around. hence your lowly intelligence is now explained.
