Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

I know many on here do not understand why we must stabilize Iraq. I do believe most respect the efforts by those that served. Harry Reid does not.

Harry Reid, the most powerful Democrat in Congress, already announced to the world that we lost in Iraq. And then Dems become outraged when their patriotism is questioned. :wtf:

Lars,

it is not about if we won in Iraq it would just be nice if the Congress that sent us there acknowledged that we did our jobs. I think the bill would be good for mental health.

Wow, I just read it and see Reid used his power to block the vote. And Dems wonder why military voters prefer McCain by a large margin.

Don't forget that Obama used the "lipstick on pig" analogy to describe General Petraeus and the surge in Iraq. Truly pathetic...

I'd be just as offended as a soldier that they were using my respect to try to get the Democratic party to admit being wrong. The support of the troops has nothing to do with this resolution in the same way that the Patriot Act had nothing to do with being Patriotic. Its just another ploy in the long line of politicians using patriotism as a scapegoat to win arguments.

I'm really surprised that you're not offended by the Republican party using supporting the troops to try to win an argument boilergrad. My sister's boyfriend's brother is home from Iraq until this Friday, and when he saw it on the news he was deeply offended that politicians were using the morale support of the troops so lightly.

Hoosier,

The Dems politicized the war in the first place. Sen. Graham from South carolina is actaully in the South Carolina Air Guard. He went to school on a ROTC scholarship. He has actually during Senate recess put on the uniform and went to Iraq to work with the Iraqi Government. I don't think he is playing games here. Joe L. if he was just about playing Politics he would have turned against the War and would still be a Dem. I agree many play games with the issue but Joe L and Little Lindsay Graham are not two of them.

I agree it is sad when Congress voted us into Iraq and they play politics with it. I think it is horrible when they try to undermine what they voted us to do.

Finally- Please tell your GF Brother thanks for his service. I truly appreciate it.
