Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

As for Obama, I'm not sure why I have to defend him. He's done nothing to dislike or like that I've read or that you've provided. You keep trying to link him to what other Democrats say, which is ridiculous. If you want to play that game, then McCain should have every comment made by George W. Bush and Strom Thurman stuck to him. It doesn't work that way.
If that is true, why are the Democrats, Obama, and his surrogates spending so much time trying to say Bush=McCain?
So when you have nothing left to defend, you say they did it so it makes it okay? If you want to argue with propaganda, then I'm done debating. I would hope an intelligent person wouldn't argue based on attack ads. You can look at McCain based on issues that he voted with the President, and you can look at Obama based on issues he voted with Dodd and other Democrats, but to combine the two into essentially the same person is dumbing down politics into a race where the candidates own values don't matter and all that matters is the letter after their name.

I stand by the facts that Bush and other Repubs pushed for mortgage reform in 2003, while leading Dems like Frank fought against it.

Hagel propsed reform legislation in 2005, and McCain joined as a co-sponsor in May, 2006. According to you it was obvious we had a problem, but the fact is few realized how serious it was, including leading Dems like Dodd and Frank who still weren't for it.

So in the absence of proof, I'm willing to believe that Obama did nothing. He could add that to his resume.

You never answered my other point that Dems tend to be for easy money to help the down-trodden get into homes. As a liberal Democrat, Obama was very likely to support this position, and therefore be part of the problem.
