It's flip flop central over there. Before the financial crisis was so important that he would not attend the debate unless a plan to solve it was in place. Well there is no plan in place and here we are. Make up your mind Johnny. |

His original decision to suspend the campaign was incredibly stupid, and Obama had the perfect reply to it with his "do more than one thing at a time" line. I'm glad the debate is back on. If McCain didn't go, he would have lost the election tonight. |

I thought Obama's "multitasking" comment showed his lack of experience. It would be like you having plans to go out drinking with your friends, and then a professor assigns something that must be done tomorrow or you fail. Of course you're going to cancel your original plans. To be more accurate, the friends would be from out of town, and only around for that one night, so you REALLY want to go. Then the discussion becomes just what did the professor mean by "fail?" If it means you fail the class, you can't go out. If it's just failing that one assignment, maybe you go out. Like I said in another thread, I think the main misunderstanding here is just how serious this current crisis really is. The last thing I need during the most serious financial crisis since 1929 is to hear two politicians discussing foreign policy. |

Actually Dreach, McCain had conferences in his office with alot republicans about what we need to do. He worked with the house repub leadership so the plan is supported by all. They brokered a one person per house of congress sit down and talk. SO the rest of the members are sitting around so McCain wil be able to attend the debate and the congress has a small group of leaders working on a plan all can support. Despite some election year bs from both sides we do have a united congress addressing a very important issue for a solution to a problem that will not have a popular bill but one that all sides get an equal share in drafting |

Stupid analogy Lars, and I'm voting for McCain. A debate is nothing like going out drinking with your friends. It's important for people to know your policies when you're running for president. Oh and if the professor's project was a group project where your role was to stay out of the way and let your teammates get things done, that analogy would be more accurate. |

Trouble, That is the problem Bush is not a leader. he is a failure as a leader. if a Platoon leader fucked up as bad as him he would be relieved. I understand why Obama calls McCain McBush for political gain but reality is they do not even like each other. Why did the establishment pick Bush in 2000 over McCain. Bush beat McCain in 2000 and might just do it again in 2008. if we elect Obama and Minnesota elects Al franken then America is fucked. Not because they won but because they are who Americans want representing them. Obama really is a socialist and Franken a divisive fuck up. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: |
