Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Democrats don't believe in religious freedom? That's funny, I don't ever recall a proposed amendment to the Constitution requiring all people to be of the same religion. Huh, learn somethin knew everyday I guess.
If Palin was a pro-abortion Muslim Democrat, the MSM would hail her as the second coming of Barrack. But since she's an anti-abortion Christian, her religious beliefs are ridiculed. It's very sad.
funny, i remember quite the opposite reaction from the MSM when all that "barrack is a muslim" crap came out.

br
I don't remember that story. Was it the fact he might be a Muslim, or was hiding his Muslim faith?

sirbri, what are you getting at here. Are you actually agreeing that the MSM is covering a christian in a more negative manner, or are you saying that the MSM tried to make Barrack look like a Muslim?

The body knows what fighters don't: how to protect itself. A neck can only twist so far. Twist it just a hair more and the body says, "Hey, I'll take it from here because you obviously don't know what you're doing... Lie down now, rest, and we'll talk about this when you regain your senses." It's called the knockout mechanism.

Right, because Obama has never been ridiculed for his religion or had lies spread about him like being a Muslim terrorist...oh wait.

Palin isn't ridiculed for her religion. She's ridiculed for wanting to instill her riligious beliefs into government. No one out there says Palin doesn't have the right to be an anti-abortion Christian. They just don't think her personal beliefs about abortion should be made into law.

In fact, this is basically the definition of religious freedom. If we made abortion illegal, and my religion allows abortion, then I would not be able to practice my religious beliefs. And that is why we keep religion out of government.
Dreach. I feel that murder is OK under certain conditions, such as if I catch my wife cheating on me with another man. These damn christians keep sticking their nose in my business and telling me that I am wrong because God opposes murder. Shouldn't they just keep that to themselves and keep their religious beliefs out of government?

First off wow are you really comparing getting an abortion to shooting some guy whose sleeping with your wife? Quite a stretch my friend. Anyway on to your question: religion and government are to be separate, period. When you say you are doing "god's will" by going to fight Muslims, its going to get a tiny bit of media coverage. You'd be on Obama like flies on shit if he were to say something that extreme and you know it.

He seems like the kind of guy who'd shoot both...just playing Aaron.

Poll of the day:

What would happen if Aaron walked in on his wife with another woman?

A.) He shoots them both for their gay ways.

B.) He jumps into bed and becomes an atheist.

I think it all depends what the other woman looks like.

"Liberal, shmiberal. That should be a new word. Shmiberal: one who is assumed liberal, just because he's a professional whiner in the newspaper. If you'll read the subtext for many of those old strips, you'll find the heart of an old-fashioned Libertarian. And I'd be a Libertarian, if they weren't all a bunch of tax-dodging professional whiners." - Berkeley Breathed

not really a stretch mongo. It's more of a stretch to assume that the abortion issue is just an example of christians trying to force their religion upon others. If you feel that the unborn is a life, which many do, then you would consider abortion murder. I doubt anyone would call you a religous nutjob for being against murder would they?

This is one of the most absurd things I've ever heard. It's even more asinine than some of the analogies Lars tries to dish up. :P
