Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

The liberal mouth pieces wouldn't dare touch this though. Could you imagine if it were republicans who said it! These clips would be playing from now until election day. You better be careful Md Obama may get his truth squad after you. You don't live in Mo. do you?

LOL, just heard that this morning. Hiring lawyers to "fact check"? Sounds like hiring Gweedo to do some knee whacking to me. Gov. of MO is pretty pissed off. Talk about restricting free speech. I guarantee you will not see this story on the mainstream networks either.

Saw the same story last night Washington is so fucked up! Obama's top advisor made 90 million in 6 yrs at fanny mae.......guess who is the #2 benefactor of those riches...........you guessed it, the Obama campaign. Think NBC will run that story? LMFAO! Sad thing is, the media "influence" is more fucked up than the candidates themselves.

I wonder why we have not had any response from the Obama supporters on this issue as well as some kind of comment on the Dems on the Iraq war.

That vid definitely looks damaging to Dems in general. A couple questions though, because I'm pretty clueless when it comes to the Fannie and Freddie stuff.

1) The congress at the time of the video was majority republican, no? So if all republicans wanted to pass more regulations on Fannie and Freddie, why did nothing happen?

2) The end of the vid says McCain and the repubs wanted more regulations. I think I've heard this before but why didn't the video have a clip of McCain asking for more regulatiions?

IUCOLTS, not sure why you think news agencies aren't reporting that Obama is the #2 recipient of Freddie and Fannie money. That seems to be pretty common knowledge at this point. I would like the point out that while being #2 on that list is high, it equates to a whopping grand total of $126,000 over the course of 10 years. Not exactly earth shattering numbers there.

Meanwhile, it's not like McCain washed his hands clean of Fannie and Freddie money. His top aide has received more money from Fannie and Freddie than even Obama has.

As I've said in another thread, I personally and I'm sure others as well, don't read every single thread. Combine that with the long video and I don't think *crickets* necessarily means that Dems don't have an opposing view of this. I wish I knew more about it so I could make a more intelligent and strong argument, but I barely followed politics at all in 2004 and am still learning a lot.

Plus, it's been Rosh Hashanah (Jewish new year) the last 2 days so I've been in synagogue a lot and eating lunch at various people's houses. Not much time to come on and argue with you guys! ^_^

I posted the link to the text of McCain's statement when he joined in as a co-sponsor to the 2005 bill in May 2006. Faithful claims that McCain jumping on board in 2006 was the same thing as predicting the OSU upset over USC the day after the game. The fact of the matter is Faithful was thoroughly owned on that thread based on the facts, and tried to wiggle out of it.

The fact is, I got sick of arguing with you. You couldn't even concentrate long enough to read through my first post, let alone to read through the entire articles you posted. You read headlines and than post them as facts without even knowing what they refer to.

Translation: You were clearly beaten by the facts, and had to resort to name calling and some arcane discussion about May 2006 being completely different than 2005. I'll bump the other thread so you can respond with some substance.

Well, I welcome anyone to read that thread and determine who had a better argument. I don't really see a point having a retort because everyone of my posts in that thread was a retort proving your facts wrong, and instead of owning up to it, you're now pretending that I was the one who didn't understand the facts.

We can just wait to see more of the facts regarding who's deserves the lion's share of the mortgage crisis blame, and it's not going to be pretty for Obama and Democrats. My links show that Bush and other Repubs were trying to address the sub-prime mortgage problems back in 2003 while the Democrats were being obstructionists. You spend most of your time arguing whether McCain co-sponsoring the bill in May, 2006 was meaningful, and made the absurd comparison to predicting a football game after it's over. No, most people didn't know we had a serious problem in 2006. This is a fact.

You also spent quite a bit of energy arguing about campaign contributions, when it clearly looks very suspicious that Obama is the #2 recipient with such a short time in Washington. You cut and pasted something from the NY Times that allegedly helped your campaign contribution case, but I'm skeptical.
