  • VP Debate "Moderator" writing Pro-Obama book
Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Any wonder why the Obama team refused to conduct town hall style debates? It would be much harder to get hand picked questions like I'm sure we will see Thursday....what a damn joke!!

The body knows what fighters don't: how to protect itself. A neck can only twist so far. Twist it just a hair more and the body says, "Hey, I'll take it from here because you obviously don't know what you're doing... Lie down now, rest, and we'll talk about this when you regain your senses." It's called the knockout mechanism.

Aren't Obama and McCain doing a town-hall style debate next?

This could be a huge opportunity for Palin. If she gets tough questions and answers them well it would be a big boost for her and McCain.

...just for the record i don't think someone who CLEARLY supports one party over the other should be moderating any debate...my co-worker just told me that she also managed Gore's campaign...

I think your co-worker has his black female political commentators mixed up. Donna brazile managed Gore's campaign.

That being said, it obviously isn't a good situation, but are any of these talking heads unbiased?

I am not OK with that either bri....not sure who you are referring to, but I love it when your only answer to a clear WRONG is to point out another WRONG.

I can't stand either candidate, but I do think if you are writing "The Age of Obama," you're probably not objective enough to moderate a VP debate. Just my two cents.

I agree, unless it ridicules American society as a place where very little experience combined with great style can overcome knowledge and substance.

I often think of Tim Russert, and how much he would have loved this campaign for the Presidency.

Rest in peace, Tim... we miss you. :priest:
