Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Palin owned Biden in this debate....PERIOD. Biden was clearly frustrated everytime she had a "gotcha" moment and called him out on his inconsitencies. I especially liked when she used his own negative comments about Obama against him. Everytime Biden used his "grinch smile", they lost 10,000 voters.
Says the biggest Palin fan on the board.

You know at first I thought Biden won, but then I thought about it again, and I have to tell you, all of Palin's pauses to gather her thoughts, run on sentences, non-sequiters, obvious dependence on memorized talking points, calling the commander in afghanistan by the wrong name, and refusals to answer the questions that were actually asked really make me think that she did in fact win the debate. And that's in spite of her incredibly annoying voice.
I'm just messin with you guys, because I'm sure that is the response you exptected from me....didn't want to disappoint. I think she held her own, which is more than most people expected, therefore the net result is actually positive for the McCain camp. It's kind of like when a stock gets a bounce because the company lost 14 million dollars, but was expected to lose 16 million dollars.

The body knows what fighters don't: how to protect itself. A neck can only twist so far. Twist it just a hair more and the body says, "Hey, I'll take it from here because you obviously don't know what you're doing... Lie down now, rest, and we'll talk about this when you regain your senses." It's called the knockout mechanism.

Well, you got me. Though your post looked more like something Lars would say. I agree with your take though. I think both of them did what they needed to, which really means that nothing has really changed.

Biden made up quite a bit of stuff. Could you explain to me when Hezbollah was kicked out of Lebanon? I missed that story. Like I said in another post recently, Biden is either ignorant, or a liar.

Uh, why should I. I'm not a Biden supporter. You know Lars, you are a lot like Palin. You like to talk about stuff that has nothing to do with what is actually being talked about.

Oh, and newsflash all politicians lie.

"Liberal, shmiberal. That should be a new word. Shmiberal: one who is assumed liberal, just because he's a professional whiner in the newspaper. If you'll read the subtext for many of those old strips, you'll find the heart of an old-fashioned Libertarian. And I'd be a Libertarian, if they weren't all a bunch of tax-dodging professional whiners." - Berkeley Breathed

The title of this thread is "VP debate Thread", so you picked a bad time to use that talking point, Hog.

Lars,

Syria is a big supporter of Hezbollah. Iran and Syria support them which is odd because Iran is Shia and Syria has a Sunnis influence but none the less when it comes to Hezbollah and hating what trouble calls the 51st state they can agree on that hatred.

Syria was forced from Lebanon in something like 2004/2005. They had forces there that brought cover for Hezbollah that was what Joe Blow was talking about. Then in 2006 Iran and Hezbollah around the G-8 summit that was suppose to deal with Iran nukes Iran and Hezbollah started a mini battle with Israeli an Hezbollah openly moved back into Leb. and are still there. Plus Hezbollah is a political party in more than one nation and they do some humanitarian work. Hezbollah is more than just a terrorist regime but also a political party just like Sadr was in Iraq. Iran is very good at tieing terrorist groups with political groups.
