Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Barrack believes in invisible men and eternal life! Wow, I'm not making this shit up!

On a related, minor issue, Sarah Palin made some reference to God helping our troops succeed in Iraq, and a Kenyan religious man performed a ceremony to help her spiritually.

Slight corrections to you statements

Obama's invisible man isn't invisible, just dead.

Palin said that our war is a "mission from G-d"

The man who helped her spiritually also wanted to make sure she was protected from witches, because, you know, witches suck. All I know is that she's lucky he did that for her because I've been making all sorts of special brews and voodoo dolls and NOTHING seems to work.

Ok, if your correction is correct, where do I go to see these dead men?

Maybe I'm confused, we are talking about Jesus, right? Do people see him or believe he is walking amongst us but "invisible"? I mean I know he's supposed to be resurrected at some point, but I thought until that happens he's just dead.

No, he was dead, three days later he was resurrected and now sits in heaven with God. He will be back though some day, (sooner the better). He is very much still alive.

Thanks for the clarification MD...needless to say, I'm not exactly a religious buff!

...please believe that i have nothing against religion...i was raised Catholic...i went to Catholic schools from the 1st grade all the way through graduating high school...my entire family (especially grandparents) are hardcore Catholic...

...i respect people who practice their faith and use it to lead a better life for themselves...however, i do not think a president should use their faith to make decisions for the rest of the country...and that is what i think palin will do once in office...

...but i DO have something against people who still believe in WITCHES in the year 2005!!!

I think the catholic faith still believes in exorcisms. Witches, demons, the devil--they are all basically the same thing. You guys should just leave religion out of the political debate. We have religious freedom in this country, whether people like Dreachon like it or not, and Obama's beliefs are very similar to Palin's.

Lame Lars. And I second Dreach's correction: she said the war against Muslim extremists was a mission from God. A little different from just attacking her for believing in God, which none of us have done. Again you twist around and distort the statements of those who disagree with you...

...i couldn't disagree more lars...with all due respect...not all religions are the same...like i said i've been Catholic all of my life and gone to church probably more than i have done anything else in my life and i have never, ever seen anything like that...

...not all religions are the same...i suppose that the people who were responsible for 9/11 have been accepted because they were doing it for their religion...whether they were interpreting their religion correctly or not does not matter...the fact remains that they did it because of their religion...

...am i comparing the 9/11 highjackers to palin...NO...all i am saying is that there are different levels of religious extremism and what palin did in that video is not of the ordinary...with all due respect...

Way to try and call the Jewish guy out for saying we shouldn't have religious freedom. Haha.

The catholic church still performs exorcisms:
http://www.catholicnewsagency.com/new.php?n=11755

Enemy avoided my factual statement about exorcisms, Dreach didn't even know that Jesus is currently alive, and Mongo, well, is just Mongo.

Apparently how guys don't have the intellectual firepower/honesty to debate this issue.

Your statement was beyond ignorant, Dreach. Christ, have you ever studied religion at all? *shakes head*

...i did acknowledge the fact that you said Catholics still perform exorcisms...i did it by saying that "i've never seen anything like that in all of my years going to church"...

...the palin situation happened in an open church...palin participated in this 'blessing'...now if you can tell me of or better yet show me video of a Catholic politician running for either Vice President or President of The United States of America, who participated in an exorcism, then and only then will you have a point...

I've been to a few catholic services, and the parishioners sprinkle themselves with holy water, and the priest sometimes blesses people. And I posted a link that the catholic church believes in demons/witches and performs exorcisms. Religion doesn't get any more main-stream than Catholicism, so I've clearly demonstrated that these beliefs are by no means abnormal.

And when you consider that all Christians believe in invisible men and eternal life, arguing about these minor differences is silly.
