Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

There seems to be an issue that no one thinks either candidate is a good one for the job. In this case my analogy would be, If I need open heart surgery would I want a DR that has done a thousand surgeries or a resident who has taken a couple years off the job to tell everyone why he is the most qualified. Maybe be to simplistic, but makes sense to me.
I think the 72 year old doctor probably has the shakes! I'm goin with the younger guy :)

Simplistic analogies really won't get us anywhere. If I'm trying to turn around my loser football team and build for the future am I going with the 15 year vet at QB or the #1 draft pick? There's just so many analogies we could both come up with that we would never get anywhere.
I got what you're saying but the #1 pick you have there didn't play high school and was a mediocre college player.
Or the #1 pick has a game plan that has been proven wrong by many teams. See N Korea, Cuba, and the FORMER USSR.

Haha. Touche! Though the NFL still largely drafts on production and not potential like the NBA. I echo eel's statement. Welcome to the board!

if I get the time, and have the initiative, I will make a thread on it later so you guys can ridicule my thought process some more.
It never gets old. :D
