Finally, the real explanation (2008-05-05) — Sen. Barack Obama admitted today that he stopped wearing an American flag lapel pin out of fear that friend and domestic terror group founder William Ayers would “step on my chest.” The revelation comes after a photo of Mr. Ayers standing on the flag resurfaced from a 2001 article in Chicago Magazine. “This guy ran the Weather Underground which declared war on the U.S.,” said Sen. Obama, “Bill Ayers conducted a campaign of bombings and riots before he helped me launch my first political campaign. With a resume like that, I’m not about to taunt him by wearing a flag on my lapel. I’d hate to have to explain the footprint to my dry cleaner.” Posted Image[/IMG] |

Hey Md I'm curious, what kind of plane did you fly in the Air Force? You flew a cargo type plane didn't you? I was just curious if you had ever been over here to the air base in Little Rock. |

Hogville, I flew C-141s in the AF for about 7 years. I was into LRAFB a few times but never spent much time there. Here are a couple of pix for you. Refueling a C141 Posted Image[/IMG] My Office Then Posted Image[/IMG] My Office Now Posted Image[/IMG] Edited by md11flyer, Oct 6 2008, 11:15 AM.

I am sorry but that refueling pic is scary. If god had intended us to refuel transport aircraft he would have given all refueling aircraft much longer booms. I would piss my pants if I were on either of those aircraft and I could see what was happening. |
![]() "Liberal, shmiberal. That should be a new word. Shmiberal: one who is assumed liberal, just because he's a professional whiner in the newspaper. If you'll read the subtext for many of those old strips, you'll find the heart of an old-fashioned Libertarian. And I'd be a Libertarian, if they weren't all a bunch of tax-dodging professional whiners." - Berkeley Breathed Meat is Murder. Sweet, delicious murder. | |

Eel, Most fun you can have with your pants on. I was an instructor and flight check airman in air refueling the last couple of years in the AF. No kidding, great fun and a great challenge. We would depart McChord AFB in Seattle heading for Yokota AFB in Tokyo. We would hit a tanker up off the Aleutians and take on about 80,000 lbs. of fuel. You had to stay on the boom for up to 25 minutes with the CG and gross weight of the aircraft changing constantly. Great fun! |

That's awesome MD. I got to sit in the cockpit of a C-130 a couple years ago at the airshow here, and thought is was very cool. at one point I had given serious thought to joining the AF and flying C-130's so I could stay here in Little Rock, but alas, I wasn't going to be able to graduate before the enlistment age limit kicked in. |
