| Welcome to Our Hoosier Board! Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions. Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful. Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine! Ben, I think many white Americans will vote for Obama to help absolve them of past racial sins. It's ironic that he's only 6% black, and will hurt black progress in this country for a generation. |

His changes will tend to make things worse, and he will make George Bush look popular. A generation of people growing up listening to racist stereotypes and not believing them, will start thinking they have some merit. A truly distinguished black candidate, such as Colin Powell, could have truly elevated the political standing of blacks in this country. |

Of course, this is IMO. You think he will be a great President, so we shall see. Believe it or not, I love being wrong about things like this. Maybe he will lead more from the center like Clinton, but I doubt it. |

Well, I don't have any data to back this up, so this is completely in my opinion, but it seems to me that most Presidents that start out very young tend to grow considerably more conservative while in office. |

Colin Powell was an excellent military strategist. But he most definitely is not a politician. He already had to play politics for Bush, who made him sell a false bill of goods....I doubt he ever steps into the political arena again. |
