Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

not at all. and i believe that acorn should be fully investigated. i like to win election fair and square.

but by you relating acorn to obama because they have a left-swing, then i suppose you are also saying that 2000 and 2004 were completely fixed by the republican party.

The Ohio document shows Republican voter fraud, yes. I am not in favor of that whatsoever, and I certainly don't justify that behavior by pointing out Acorn's fraudulent activity. And yes, it is very very clear that Acorn is in the tank for Obama....please don't try to deny that.
never have denied it.

just don't deny that there's no way to tell who the clear winner in the past two general elections have been.

2000, yes. 2004 not so much.
You know, I find that debate kind of interesting. There is no doubt in my mind that Gore won the popular vote in FL. That being said, the electors of the Electoral College are not neccessarily obligated to vote for the person who won the popular vote in the state. Now you can argue that it isn't fair that Gore didn't win the electoral votes, but it isn't necessarily against the rules.

The problem is the electors that got to cast that vote were not the electors chosen by the popular vote. The constitution says this:" Each State shall appoint, in such Manner as the Legislature thereof may direct, a Number of Electors, equal to the whole Number of Senators and Representatives to which the State may be entitled in the Congress: but no Senator or Representative, or Person holding an Office of Trust or Profit under the United States, shall be appointed an Elector."

That being said, the choosing of the electors is a state issue, decided by the state legislature on how the votes should have been collected, and the ultimate authority in this matter should be the Florida Supreme court, but somehow it ends up in the Federal Supreme Court.

The party of "states rights" became the party of "states rights if it suits us". The rest is history.

If you want to talk about stolen elections, Brian, let's talk about why I hope to RE-elect Dino Rossi next month.

I won't deny or confirm it because I don't really care that much anymore....it is done and over with, and we have current issues to deal with. The fact that your best excuse for Obama voter fraud is "well look what happened then", is pathetic.

The body knows what fighters don't: how to protect itself. A neck can only twist so far. Twist it just a hair more and the body says, "Hey, I'll take it from here because you obviously don't know what you're doing... Lie down now, rest, and we'll talk about this when you regain your senses." It's called the knockout mechanism.

Any voter fraud is reprehensible and I think you will be hard pressed to find a single poster that supports it.

Often forgotten about the Florida election is that the Networks all said that polls were closed in Florida an hour before many polls actually closed in districts that favored Bush. Its been estimated that this reduced Bush's margin of victory from between 5000, to 7500 votes.

Florida in 2000 had horrible consequences for America. I think that election helped enable the atmosphere that made 9/11 possible.

I know, I've given up reminding people about the effect of the infamous early network winner predictions. Some people won't let facts get in the way of their delusions. :banghead:

It was also widely reported that Diebold voting machines in Volusia County with faulty memory cards deducted or changed 16,022 votes from Gore.

The whole Florida vote stunk to high heavan. As a conservative I was outraged at the whole mess and the political gamesmanship. I have no doubt in my mind Gore took Florida.

What about the thousands of voters who were too stupid to figure out the butterfly ballet, and voted for Buchanan instead of Gore, or the thousands of military voters who were disenfranchised? Yes, the odor coming out of Florida wasn't very pleasant.

yes, I read your statement, but what was your initial reply to this post? "foxnews is getting desperate". What was your 2nd reply. "take a look at the 2004 republican voter fraud". You have a history of defending current wrongs with past wrongs, which is very pathetic.

Who is the group claiming that people who lose there homes and move elsewhere wont be able to vote? Forgot the name, point is, you vote from the district you move to.....duh. The website show a picture of African Americans from the 60's riots............trying to inject the race card. Bringing up segregation, in this election, now thats pretty fucking low.
