Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

I got to recite the pledge to start the event. Princess Sarah gave a great speech. She is very impressive in person. The Secret Service is very protective of her. We where put in a Green Room prior to the event. Sen E Dole was in the room along with many local and State politicians and The Mayor of Charlotte who is running for Gov. The Secret Service kept her in another room that only few people knew where it was. After her speech she walked around talking with people but they kept a bubble around her and then shut down the exits and took her out. The security backstage was super high. They had people everywhere. We had to stay in the Green Room before we went out. They cleared the stage prior to her going up. The security was insane you would have thought there was some super high threat. They had policemen and some super cool security guys outside our Green Room. Sen Dole was super cool and talked with us prior to going out instead of sucking up to the media. All in all a super day but it was 9 hours of time for Sarah to give a 45 min speech. She then worked the crowd for 30 mins. Didn't get to really talk to her other than hello. if any of you ever get a chance to do an event like this i would encourage you to do it. The primaries speeches are better because security is so low and you get to actually talk with the Candidate

impressive? what the fuck did she say that was so impressive, other than attack Obama for things that are meaningless to the voters of this country.

She has ZERO answers to the problems facing this country, and the geezer that she is running with doesn't either.

I met Bill Clinton in the '92 campaign, but I didn't get all goosebumps about it. So, you met Sarah, congrats.

If you think that Obama/Biden have any more of the answers to this country than McCain/Palin, then you are truly insane. Obama may win, but I don't think America is going to be any better for it. This election is (to steal a line from UB) a height contest of two midgets.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

Wrong again Cam. America will be better after this election no matter who wins because Bush will be out of office! :D

The body knows what fighters don't: how to protect itself. A neck can only twist so far. Twist it just a hair more and the body says, "Hey, I'll take it from here because you obviously don't know what you're doing... Lie down now, rest, and we'll talk about this when you regain your senses." It's called the knockout mechanism.

"Liberal, shmiberal. That should be a new word. Shmiberal: one who is assumed liberal, just because he's a professional whiner in the newspaper. If you'll read the subtext for many of those old strips, you'll find the heart of an old-fashioned Libertarian. And I'd be a Libertarian, if they weren't all a bunch of tax-dodging professional whiners." - Berkeley Breathed

well, in this case...yeah I guess. Bush is clearly disappointing to the extreme, but I think Obama's entitlement programs and taxation plan will do even more damage than Bush's war (which is essentially the biggest blunder of his admin)

No she didn't answer alot of questions. The thing that was so impressive was the way she worked the crowd. She had probably never been to NC in her life. It is harder just walking in after getting off a plane going directly to a stage and being on and lighting up the room. Sen E Dole who has been in this arena for years was not as smooth as Sarah. Mayor Pat who is a 7 term Mayor running for Gov in his home state was not a s smooth. I guess the thing that really struck me was as she was on the walkway sighning autograghs she made eye contact with people and waved truly connecting. She then out of a monster area where the crowd had ascended she saw a special needs adult child. She then made eye contact with the mom and went straight to her and talked. Then she sighned something for the special needs person. You could tell it meant alot to him. That is pretty amazing that she could even make out a face in the crowd. I was on the same stage earlier and I just saw a sea of people and couldn't really make out a face.

lots of people can work crowds. unfortunately, for sarah, she's running for vice president of the united states of america. that's a job where you have to answer questions. she's shown that she can't.

Lars, do you still think McCain's selection of Palin will go down as one of the most genius VP picks in history?
