Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

...good for her...when she and mccain lose the election she'll be freed up for the next season of Last Comic Standing...

Lars,

We are still in this race. Gained another .8% in the rcp average today. down to 4.7% lead McCain keeps that up by the last debate we will be in there and the ACORN and new info Obama was part of a Socialist group in 1996 say the mo is swinging back to us. I just hope it is not to early as this thing has swung a few times now.

Agreed bg01, this is still a race. To use a football analogy, Obama is up 10 heading into the fourth quarter, but he has Purdue's defense. :P

Grad01 -

So let me get this straight. You think Curtis Painter sucks, but Sarah was "impressive"???

Something seems amiss.

I'm not sure that he's fighting for our right to protest... but then again, Iraq is pretty confusing to determine whether we're fighting to protect against WMD's, terrorists, or further democracy. Pretty sure the Patriot Act took away more freedoms than those in Iraq ever will... not that she had anything to do with that.

impressive? what the fuck did she say that was so impressive, other than attack Obama for things that are meaningless to the voters of this country.

She has ZERO answers to the problems facing this country, and the geezer that she is running with doesn't either.

I met Bill Clinton in the '92 campaign, but I didn't get all goosebumps about it. So, you met Sarah, congrats.

start preparing your new sig, grad01
If you think that Obama/Biden have any more of the answers to this country than McCain/Palin, then you are truly insane. Obama may win, but I don't think America is going to be any better for it. This election is (to steal a line from UB) a height contest of two midgets.
Wrong again Cam. America will be better after this election no matter who wins because Bush will be out of office! :D
I wasn't comparing Obama or McCain to Bush. I know Bush has fucked up, but there is no way of telling at this point. Until either one of those gets into office (shudders), its impossible to know.

Obama v McCain is like Gary Coleman v Very Troyer.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

If you believe that we are fighting in Iraq to preserve our freedom by establishing a democracy that protects the world from terrorists, then she is right. I don't believe that, but she and McCain do.

The body knows what fighters don't: how to protect itself. A neck can only twist so far. Twist it just a hair more and the body says, "Hey, I'll take it from here because you obviously don't know what you're doing... Lie down now, rest, and we'll talk about this when you regain your senses." It's called the knockout mechanism.

Back up to 5.1. Gallup came in today at +11. We will see if the debate slices into that any. By the way BG check out the RCP No-toss up electoral map. Another state has went blue. This time MO. That puts it at 364-174. So much for the mo swinging back your way.

Missouri will go Red
Missouri will should go Red.

One of the fears the Obama camp should be having is that with all the polls pointing to an electoral victory the electorate will not see the need to vote and sit at home.

McCain has the same problem. If you believe it is closer than the polls say and the lead right now it might cost both some votes and people believe it is over. I think in NC if that happens it is advantage McCain because Sen. Dole is up to bring our Repubs and we have a very Popoular Mayor of Charlotte running for Gov. That should keep Repub turn out high and maybe th Dems get over confident and have a weak turnout. I would rather win on the issues......
