Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

These polls actually scare me a bit. I don't trust them. No one knows which candidate will be chosen on November 4th.

Just curious, have anyone of you ever participated in any of these polls? I haven't. I assume these polls are done over the phone (?)
I never answer my land line unless I recognize the phone number.
matter of fact some organization just called me today. topics were president, governor, house rep, and some wall street/bail out questions. i felt honored, that had never happened to me before. btw, i replied mccain, horning, and buyer. guilty parties on the financial mess was 1.) bush and 2.) wall street itself. the federal reserve was not an option but since bush appointed both bernanke and paulson he got my vote as the most responsible.
btw boiler, they called me on my landline.

Trouble got Nels the guy running for congress website. he is a Dem but he is a Blue Dog and he grew up on the farm next to my mom in Hamilton county. His sister is my moms best friend. Not that Buyer is a bad guy but I want most of the house replaced. I think if they have been in the house longer than 10 years it is time to go home.

http://www.nels4congress.com/

He is a Purdue grad. He was national FFA president in College.

I am sure he is outside your window of possiblities but he is not endorsed by Obama.

It'll be interesting to see how close these polls turnout to be. I've got a feeling that the majority of voters that rely on cell phones instead of landlines are going to lean heavily towards Obama.

Rasmussen: Obama +10 in Va. Pa is a pipe dream for McCain.

The "paths" to victory that bg is offering simply don't seem realistic. I know he is a believer in bg, but at this point he is simply thinking with his heart and not his head.

Gov Rendell says Obama needs to come back to Penn. Ole Ed can only steal so many votes.

Virginia in a NBC/Mason Dixon Poll has it at +2 for Obama.

Keep doubting the Penn movement you will be surprised. i will give hint know a good place to get a cheesestake on the 3rd

You've been saying "wait for the surprise" and "the polls are going to tighten up" for quite a while now. First, it was the vice presidential debate would see McCain get within two by Monday and then tied by Friday. Then the same thing with the presidential debate.

Then it was "look at the Zogby-Cspan poll"....until it spiked up to where others were.

Eventually you have to start looking at the big picture...and it ain't good.

Now it's the NBC/Mason Dixon poll?

Give it a couple days, and it will come back down. Like I said, it is going to be close.

By the way, what the hell is going on with Zogby? They are at +12 today.

Zogby has the race as over. i read his ramblings last night and he claims Obama has a 22% lead in early voting and that factors in somehow. I really do not understand how they figyre theses numbers. I always believed they called 400 a day at Zogby asked who are you for added that to the previous batch divided what the cand had by 1600 and that was the result. I guess it is more complicated. I would guess Sunday and Monday where big Obama days as the big McCain days cycle out the lead blooms now if McCain had a big Wens and today he should really make some noise with the Joe the Plumber for small business maybe it will come back down. Zogby is the only poll to have a large spike after Powell endorsed. He also admits he is oversampling the yung voter because he thinks it will be a large youth turnout.

When you get down to it though, that is going to be the what decides it. If Obama can get out the young and the minorities at the rate that he has been getting them out in early voting, it is over.
Quinnipiac in their state polls also has a higher sample of younger and minority voters, because they feel that Obama will turn out the vote. That is why their numbers in swing states are so high.

Yeah, but can he keep up the increased turnout? I think he can, at least enough to pull it out, but who knows.
