Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Where do you think Purdue will be ranked?
when?
Preseason 2009
I have no idea. Players come and go, injuries, chemistry issues, player (lack of) development, etc.

You are getting WAY ahead of yourselves.
Yet, you predict IU to be in the tournament in 2010.

Makes sense.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

predicting a team to make a 64 person tourney is a lot different than placing a team in a specific # slot. Considering IU has made about 30 of the past 32 tourneys, it is not a stretch to say that.

but to say turdue will be #1 next year is downright laughable.

And how many of those 30 tournament teams has anyone from team (coaches or players) been a part of? To say IU, with a bunch of freshmen and sophomores will make the tournament because IU was good when they had different coaches and players, is laughable and stupid.

None of these players have ever played a Division 1 basketball game, yet you think they'll be good enough to make the tournament? Makes sense.

yes in 18 months they could be - Crean is an excellent coach and has a monster class coming in 2009

I'll happily bet you IU has a better shot at making the NCAA's than Turdue being #1.

Your double standards are just outrageously funny. A "monster" class. Of course its a monster class when IU has it, but if any other school was like it, I'm sure it'd be overrated and destined for the NIT.

And I'm not going to get into the excellent coach part.

#3? Really? That was like a month ago. #5 and falling. Still a nice collection of players that will win plenty of games at IU, but I wouldn't necessarily call it a monster class.
