I've lived in the same home for 20 years, and vote at the same polling place. I waited in line for over an hour (I waited until after 9am, to avoid the 9-5 voters out there) I have never waited so long to cast my vote, and I must say, I have never been happier to wait in a line. :D So you were happy to be waiting in a line composed of the ignorant masses? NLA, please explain to me how encouraging the ignorant masses to go out and vote makes ANY sense whatsoever. Please, I've been racking my mind over this one for the last few months, I just can't come up with a plausible explanation!

I don't know where you live, perhaps with the ignorant masses?

As I said before, I think this board is a good mix of conservatives and liberals, and I think is a good indicator of how Indiana will vote. That being said, if this board is representative if IN as a whole, McCain might be in trouble.

obviously you haven't made it very far into the FairTax book
you are correct. But that book would certainly not have had an affect on my vote. And, I am sure that the book didn't influence your vote either. that book has changed my political philosophy, but didn't change my vote as both Presidential candidates have not thrown support behind the fairtax. Mark Souder is the congressman for 90% of my area, but I live in the other 10% which is covered by Mike Pence. Pence supports the FairTax, and Souder has not. I did not do any campaign work for the Allen County GOP on behalf of Mark Souder because of his stance, and I made it clear to Mr. Souder personally and to his camp everytime they called me to help, so it has made a difference to me in this election, but it just so happens that my Republican congressman does support it, therefore there was no conflict.

The body knows what fighters don't: how to protect itself. A neck can only twist so far. Twist it just a hair more and the body says, "Hey, I'll take it from here because you obviously don't know what you're doing... Lie down now, rest, and we'll talk about this when you regain your senses." It's called the knockout mechanism.

Who says because they are ignorant they shouldn't be allowed to vote? The President is supposed to represent the United States of America and if most Americans are ignorant, then they will vote in an ignorant President as they should (coughbushcough)

They shouldn't be encouraged, however. If they don't know what they're voting for, they should stay home. This isn't to say that this should be enforced by government dictate, but they should feel obligated to either actually delve into the issues or stay the fuck home. The media should NOT be encouraging everybody and their mom, no matter how uninformed they may be, to go out and 'rock the vote'. This is why we keep seeing our civil liberties, economic freedoms, and value of our dollar being eroded, because we willingly throw ourselves into the arms of tyrants through under-informed voters.

Additionally, I think that it is very sad that the popularity of Obama is largely due to his unconstitutional promises of redistribution of wealth, increased welfare, taxpayer funded college tuition.....etc etc. James Madison predicted this 250 years ago....amazing
