Speaking truth, eh? The only truth you've been speaking is saying Obama is gonna win, which a 3rd grade autistic girl could have predicted (no offense to those involved in the McCain camp, i.e. BG). Other than that, you've contributed little. |

“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves." "I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel

i do believe he will do well, at least i am hopefull he will anyway. i did vote for mccain, however, i do not agree 100% with him. both canidates had many ideas that i agreed with. I just felt mccain would be better, and i didnt come to that conclusion until a few days ago. up until then i was leaning towards mccain but never fully made my choice. |

please explain? because i dont see any irony in it at all. as soon as the polls starting coming in, every report i watch made it a point to show how many "urban minority" areas and "prodominantely black" areas voted for Obama. I am not complaining that the minorities are voting, but no one will convence me that the majority of the newly registered minority vote in those area's were educated about the canidate's. I firmly believe that many of them voted for Obama because he is black. my previous statement about "semi" black is ment to be read as the fact that his mother is white. either way, i still think he could do a very good job as president. i never said he was a bad canidate. |

im just glad obama won so that black people cant say "well i would have got that job if we had a black president!!! damn crackers!!!" anymore. and jesse jackson just made my eyes wet with his fake tears!!!! congrats to Obama. i dont care much for politics, but i vote anyway, and I voted for Barack. He is a testament that anybody can be anything in this country, and i think he will be a great Uniter. and like i mentioned earlier thank god black people cant bitch about 'being under whitey's thumb' anymore. now the women will start complaining that its THEIR turn to be president and that THEY are the ones that are left out of everything.... |

That's just an ignorant statement. It definitely helped, but the majority of people you're referring to would be voting for Obama based on his support for low-income families no matter what color his skin was. Considering the percentage of Whites in this country, I'd wager there's a pretty even amount that voted for Obama based on races as there are those that voted against him. Definitely not a margin that would've swayed this election to McCain if they stayed at home. |

Government mandated transfer of wealth to low-income families certainly has the short-term effect of supporting low-income families. I doubt if anyone will argue that point. However, the longer term effect on the prosperity of low-income people and the entire nation is debatable, and that's why many intelligent, compassionate people oppose socialism on a national scale (See USSR, North Korea, Vietnam, Cuba, etc) |

I'm not arguing that point, since I agree with it... I'm just pointing out that I'd wager that most of the uninformed voters that supposedly went out and supported Obama due to race would've likely done the same if he was White and ran on the same platform. |
