We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions. Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful. I'm not sure why we have never discussed this, but since it was mentioned in another thread, I thought it would be a fun subject, and we might get some surprising views on it. How do you guys feel about it? |

I know some non-pot smokers who say it has helped them. A friend of mine with Crone's disease says it's the only thing that's worked that can work up her appetite. A good friend of mine that just passed away about 3 months ago (RIP) used to ask me to look for pot for him because it was the only way to balance out the nausea from his chemotherapy. Is it a miracle drug? No. But it seems to be effective in some ways. |

I'm for it, but I'm also confused as to why they can't isolate the chemicals in marijuana that help and create some sort of pill or syrup or whatever the fuck they want to. I mean medical science has come a long way and all we can do for some people is tell them to smoke pot? |

 I've always wondered that also. Could we make a THC pill or something to avoid our lungs being filled up with smoke? |

They already have THC pills. Smoking it though for some reason appears to increase appetite a lot more than in the pill form. Personally, I'm completely for legalizing it for medicinal use. My friend's mother, who lived in California, was prescribed medicinal marijuana prior to her passing. It was the only drug she was on where she was actually able to appear normal. That was the hardest part for my friend was that when he went home, all of the drugs they had her on at first left her as a shell of herself. She had no clue what was going on and was having delusions. After she stopped taking those meds and switched to marijuana, she was considerably more aware of her surroundings and was in little pain. It seems strange that we allow doctors to prescribe drugs like morphine while THC is still off limits. It makes zero since. That's like legalizing moonshine and making wine coolers illegal. |

old school, I think we already know your opinion on the subject. And I have to say, I'm sure that most nights that you see a meteor shower, there isn't actually one occurring. |

A pill does exist, but can have differing effects when swallowed than when it's smoked. It's patient preference really. |

Legalize it. Hell I don't have any problem with leaglizing marijuana in general. And that is coming from someone who has never even taken a hit of MJ. |

I agree. Legalize it, tax it and have the same rules as alcohol. 21 to purchase it. It's not like it isn't prevelant already. |

Hog, i agree and as someone that was in the front lines of the war on drugs in the mid to early 90's I think it is a silly waste of money. I believe we should fight it from the demand side not the supply side. I policeman pulls a person over finds some MJ and arrest the person. They did nothing that made the community safer. They just tied up the court system and spent time on an issue that does not stop real crime. I don't get why X is illegal either. if you can legally buy all the ingredients from a store over the counter then why is combining them illegal. We spend so much time on enforcement and not enough time on prevention. I do not even know if prevention is the Govs responsibility. I am a big believer in charities taking care of problems. I believe drug prevention should be the focus not drug enforcement. I personally do not take drugs but if you wanna do them in your home knock yourself out. Commit a crime because you are on them pay the price. |
