Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

So Gordon is the twefth-tallest midget, and his struggles are everyone else's fault, not his. Point taken.

Poor guy.
What struggles? He hasn't played....

And when he does struggle, which he will, it'll be because he's a 19 year old rookie. Ask Kevin Durant if he struggled in his 1st year...
If he hasn't played, he is obviously struggling in practice.
Look, I've already given a local example of why young players might not play right away and I posted a quote from Dunleavy backing that up. At this point there is nothing more I can do. If you refuse to acknowledge the possibility that Gordon's not playing because Dunleavy doesn't want him to feel a sense of entitlement, then yer either just extremely stubborn, or are being stubborn in order to try and get under UBs skin. Either way, I'm not going to sit here and go back and forth with you when the conversation has no chance of progressing anywhere.
Dreach when was the last time Billbob Parcells coached the NJ midgets. He left them after the 1990 Superbowl win correct.
Yeah, and?

I wouldn't say that Gordon was uncoachable at IU....but I will say he wasn't coached.
Interesting admission from a guy who thought Celvin was one of the best coaches in the nation...

sampson's coaching record would indicate he was a top 15 coach in the nation.

His coaching job in his first season was very good

Last year - it was horrid.

Wow, UB. I was expecting you to post that much earlier in the day. I guess this proves that Purdue is your top priority.

Good choice!

I figure Dunleavy got a call from front office saying 'we are paying this kid $20 mil, you have to play him...no matter how badly he fucks us!'

11 points in 30 minutes ain't bad. Opponents might have to start guarding him.

Just as a small number of games don't prove he's horrible and worthless, one game does not prove that he is good and the reason for victory.

The jury is still out, let his play speak for itself. The Clippers brought Al Thronton along the same way last year, in about a month or two, when the Clippers are playing for nothing, Gordon will get his chance to prove his worth. Until then, none of us have a clue at all.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

"I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel

So now you're saying he is the REASON they won at home over a 2-4 team?

It's just one game, and I can't say what happened because I didn't see it.

Put the Shirley Temple down, watch and wait a couple more months before proclaiming Gordon as a ROY candidate.

sorry dimwit - I'm not saying Gordon is great, I just said there is no way the Clippers have 11 better players than him.

you are now backtracking because you have been thoroughly owned.

Maybe you should do the same before proclaiming he is a bust...

Thank you for being a voice of reason here Cam. I wish everyone would just acknowledge that they have no clue how good Gordon will be. 7 games means nothing and 5 more games won't mean anything either. He just need to work hard and make progress. Not much more anyone can ask from him at this point.
