| Welcome to Our Hoosier Board! Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions. Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful. Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine! I'll third that. I may disagree with how our commander in chief sometimes uses our armed forces, but that in no way detracts from the respect and admiration that I have for the men and women in the military.  |

![]() "Liberal, shmiberal. That should be a new word. Shmiberal: one who is assumed liberal, just because he's a professional whiner in the newspaper. If you'll read the subtext for many of those old strips, you'll find the heart of an old-fashioned Libertarian. And I'd be a Libertarian, if they weren't all a bunch of tax-dodging professional whiners." - Berkeley Breathed Meat is Murder. Sweet, delicious murder. | |

My father in law was a marine in Korea, the Chosin Reservoir. He doesn't talk much about it, but the few times he does, oh my Lord. What those Marines went through went the Chinese attacked.......... You Marines are bad mothers. |

My dad and his two brothers served in Korea. My oldest uncle was shot clean through his chest by another U.S. soldier cleaning his rifle. It didn't hit anything major, and he got an airlift to Japan. Considering he was fighting on the front lines, that accident might have saved his life. |

my grandmothers brother was killed in korea. my wifes grandfather fought in the pacific during WWII. he was also a marine and participated in the taking of okinawa. (he, btw, is still alive and goes to the elementary school here every year on veterens day for the program the vfw puts on.) my grandfather was in the army during WWII and was in burma of all places? he ran a bunch of phone lines over there and came home to work for at&t for 40 years. my dad and i got lucky. he did a stint in the air force from '61-'65 and was stationed in england. he just missed the vietnam era. i was in from '85-'89 and not much was happening then. well, we were running drugs into this country from central america, but that was primarily an army/cia venture. i had no part in that. |
