Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

My prediction:

Indiana by 4 points.

I see it as a real stuggle and a game we can lose...let's face it, we are basically playing a group of freshman out there. If we win, it's simply gonig to be because our freshman are more talented than their players....teams we play early have the advantage of playing together for a much longer period, and by the time we get to the point where our players should be used to each other, we're into conference games where wins will be few and far between.

Close the entire game. IU will trail at some points. They're inexperience will show up most of the game.

But they have the talent to get it done and at home.

I think we're going to have a good game here. Our first sort-of challenge.

Northwestern St. got beat by 24 or more points by every single big school they played last season. They also got beat by Harvard by 30. Kenpom tells me they play up tempo, they have average height, were one of the younger teams in the nation (zero seniors), and the use their bench more than anyone but 2 other teams.

This team may cause some problems, but the fact that they couldn't even be competitive against a big school last year makes me think IU should win, especially being at home. My guess:

“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

"I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel
